I was born in 1990 (woot!)...
Becuase I was a bit of a tom boy and I was close to my older step brother, he submerged me in the world of Mortal Kombat. He always talked about the game and showed me the MK2 and MK3 instructoin booklets.
I first played MK when I was 7 (MK3 on SNES) when my bro gave me his game (cuz he got UMK3 at the time).
I must admit, I loved the game! But I had no idea what I was missing out on...
I was intrigued by the story and mythology, but I was missing a huge gap. So after a while I sold MK3 and bought MK1 and MK2 and played the crap out of both of them. After exposing myself to the original two, I realized how bad MK3 was (lol).
But since then I've loved MK. I even learned to appreciate MK Mythologies, despite its many, many, many flaws.
I never got to play MK Gold because I had no interest in buying a dream cast just for one game... but after playing an emulated version a few years back I'm so glad I didn't waste my money.
So, 13 years of MK for this chica and I'm still thristing for more!
