There will be threads posted in this forum regarding matchups, so make sure you're around here often as we near the start date. It simply isn't conceivable for me to be messaging each and every person through either PSN or XBL.

Matchups will be posted on April 28th. The tournament itself begins on May 1st. Stay active here as everything will be posted in this forum.

I'd consider signing up for this, but my internet is really flaky where I live. Snowstorms tend to kill my internet's tower erratically. And where I've pre-ordered from Futureshop online, delivery of my game could take a bit. Hopefully it would arrive by may 1st, though.

And what are the stipulations for the first day of the tourney? Character limitations? (aside of kratos) is it single/tag? I just noted that some months involve specific genders and whatnot and wondered if it was open for the first bouts or not.

May's tournament has no character restrictions (except Kratos, of course) and it's singles.

I've never been a fan of internal cards, but whatever floats your boat. I think I'm going to pick up the Hauppauge HD PVR next week.

I'm hoping that there's a way to spectate regular fights without having to set up a King of the Hill lobby, because that would interrupt the flow of the match.

Capture card wont fit into PCI E slot without back bracket moving out of place. When I move it into place it comes out of the slot. Used some brackets next to it to secure it but the fucker is DOA.. Computer recognizes it but it still gets no signal. Gonna have to go external I think. How the hell do you mess up the measurements on a card like that?

This is why I don't use internal cards. Go with a Dazzle if you're looking for something inexpensive, or the Hauppauge HD PVR if you have more money to spend.

It isn't absolutely necessary (I myself do not own a mic for my PS3) but it is preferred.

One match is best 2 out of 3 sets.
Each set is best 4 out of 7 games.

So you have to win 4 games to win 1 set, and 2 sets to win your match.

Precisely. An entire match should take an hour at the very most, but I would presume that the frequency of matches that will go 4-3, 3-4, and 4-3 will be extremely low. Most matches in the early rounds will probably be sweeps or only last 2 sets anyway.
