Ok, so based on what I've seen on forums, and heard from other people, MK vs DC is actually a half decent game, but that the online play is mediocre and I might be putting it very nicely.

Is it really that bad?

On a positive note though, I'm glad WB is hiring people to specifically improve the online play in the next MK game and hopefully make it above average.

Me, personally, Online play was fine just dealing with cheap players who think they're so great at that game by spamming spammer-type characters was the worse part. They're not good fighters if you spam, spam is just annoying and won't be tolerated with me. I leave immediately if they choose either Flash or Superman. (Even if they do say they play fair. It's never fair with those two)

That and, the best matches I had against online users who DID know how to fight were always getting disconnected after Round 3.

I don't mind Superman to much as the Flash.I wish the PS3 version had a quick match option like the x360 one,to bad cause I hate the lobby system. The online isnt that bad when you get someone who does actually play fair and I personally have had some really awesome matches oh and I cant stand Kitana anymore cause some ppl will spam her fan move over and over and over.I remember Ed saying that he thought that this game would put those saying UMK3 is the best to rest,I again personally dont see it lol,Maybe had I not grown up playing UMK3 then maybe. So online play isnt so bad but imo the lobby system sucks and they should have done something like DOA3 or street fighter 4 with coin matches and whatnot, hell the UMK3 lobby system on xbla was better then this.

when the game first came out, there were nothing but flash/superman/scorpion users. alot of them were big time spammers, but as of right now, i feel that things have kind of smoothed out. so no, the online is actually decent when you want to go head 2 head with a real person.

as for connections and everything, i rarely get disconnected or have laggy matches. its all pretty solid in my honest opinion

I didn't enjoy the online play. There were a lot of lag and disconnections.

Also, all the players I seem to play would get a shot at me and then block everything I do until the time runs out, resulting in them winning due to most life or most damage dealt.

I never bothered playing online after that.

This game is very good offline. Hell it’s got a 10 character high tier list. Everyone can compete except maybe batman and lex.

The problem with its online is that it changes move properties no matter what the connection is. Moves become ridiculously safe, some do more damage, frames of moves change, and the hit boxes becomes all fucked up. Almost all of the tactics that are used online will never work offline. It’s almost a completely different game online. A lot of the pro-moves do not work online. and this is just the start of what’s wrong with online play. You will very quickly learn that flash, kahn, and raiden completely dominate the game. Many times there is just no way to counter spam because of lag.

If you have offline competitions then just stick with that. Online will just teach you how to play the game the wrong way. This game really need an offline seen.
