Just defeated MKWhopper in our Cyrax Mirror Match, 4-1, with both of us performing one Stage Fatality apiece. Great games MKWhopper, can't wait to play you again...and in Naruto!
I also want to say CONGRATULATIONS to RedSoul for his upcoming wedding!!! That's always a beautiful thing man!!

I'm so highly disappointed with this situation now....

Moseph and others spent a lot of time working on this stuff, it's a damn shame that people sign up for the stuff, don't participate and don't care.

Ladder Kombat was one of the best and most original ideas and people haven't supported it, like 50 people signed up in the registration thread, 6-7 showed up and played. I don't get it, we can get everyone together to argue about stuff, but we can't get enough people together to actually PLAY the game and have fun smh.....

Same way I feel. Seriously, I said it up here before, if it wasn't for this Ladder Kombat, I would've sold the game months ago. I thoroughly enjoy competing with you guys here on MKO, and I thought it was very nicely laid out. I don't get it, why sign up to it if you know you're not even going to participate? Especially for the Mirror Ladder, hell, ANYBODY with ANY Skill level could've still played and rep their character somewhat. Some people are just all talk I suppose....

Yeah, the scene here is pretty dead. It's a shame that only a handful of us actually followed through with any of this. I guess people would rather just talk about MK than play it.

It's fun, even though I suck at it. Goshin destroyed me when I played him. I think I might have won 1 or 2 matches.

I've taken my MK experience, of using characters I had no interest in in the past, and applied it there. I used to only use Nina, but I found that Asuka, Alisa, Dragunov, Ling, Wang and Zafina are lots of fun too, so much that I haven't even had time to pick Nina yet lol. Feng will likely be my next char to pick up. It's so much more interesting to have a lot of characters to choose from than just focusing on one. When SCV comes out (on my birthday!) I'm going to start practicing with lots of characters, instead of just Sophie and Taki. (Assuming they're even in at this point).

Tekken is great, but I too have never been good at it, at least not good enough to win often. I didn't know Goshin had it too, he'll probably destroy me too, only fighting game I'm any good at is MK, so sad

We'll have to play too of course.

Dragunov I've only seen a little bit of, not much to judge him, but he looks cool.

Elisa probably has the coolest gameplay that I've seen out of the new characters, throwing her head into your hands and it exploding and those chain saw arms, over the top and epic, cool design to boot.

I'm thinking of picking of Ling, Eddy since I never use them.

lol Come on now Unseen, you're being too modest, you make it sound like I completely just ran through you. To be honest, you surprised the hell outta me, especially with Zafina & Ling. I'm not really used to playing against those two at all. I need to practice more though; I fell off a bit there with the whole MKO Ladder Tourney and then recently trying to get 100% Trophy collection in Fallout 3. I'm not nearly as good as I used to be, esp with Ling, Yoshi, and Jack. I'm pretty sure you'll blow right by me though if I don't invest some more time in it soon lol.

It's one of my many fighting games that I needed to re-buy, since I sold them back during the spring due to financial shortages lol. Yeah, her one stance is called Tarantula. Strangely, she's considered bottom tier. IDK, I do pretty good with her, relatively.

Yeah, Sophie and Taki aren't in, yet, but there's still like 12 roster spots that haven't been announced. The trailer hinted that Sophie is still somehow involved because there was a spooky voice talking to Pyrrah that sounded just like her. I'm still holding out hope that she's somehow the new boss character. Taki, IDK, she may have been totally replaced with Natsu.

No way man, I was embarrassed. I've been practicing though, I can almost backdash cancel reliably. I hope I'll do better next time.

I also have Blazblue: CS, Street Fighter 3rd Strike OE, and MvC2; I also plan on re-buying SC4, SF4:AE, Naruto NS2, and buying Ult MvC3, so if you (or anyone else) have or plan to have either of those, we definitely should play sometime.

Back in ancient times I used to play SF2, but I've never really gotten into 2D fighters very much, except for MK. IDK why. I guess it's the cartoony atmosphere of most of them that I don't like. When you get SC4 again, look me up. Or when SC5 comes out we can play. It's only like 3 months away.

Hey neat. I liked Hwo, and Julia too. (Don't really like what they did with her in TTT2 though). I don't get Yoshi. He has tons of fans, but he's too goofy for me. Christie's cool, and supremely hot (I love eye-candy when I'm playing), I just never got into her style for some reason.

I haven't followed Tekken Tag Tournament, what did they do with her? Yoshimitsu's goofiness the main reason why I like him, it's a complete contradiction to his story and designs, I dunno which Yoshi amuses me more, the Soul Calibur one with his sitting on the floor and kicking his feet together or Tekken's.

It's strange, because as much as I hate goofiness in fighting games, I have to giggle when her head falls off in her win pose, or in her intro with it tucked under her arm. DES stance is cool, but not very useful.

The goofiness just has to be done right, a lot of times fighters end up missing the mark on funny and goofy.

Taki is a beast and I thought one of the prominent poster girls for the series, seems silly to get rid of her, hopefully she'll be back.

That would be amazing if Sophitia took on that role next game, it's not that I don't like her, she just doesn't interest me like some of the others, make her a boss might just be the edge she needs.

We're going to have to hold up for a bit Goshin, KS's taking up the helm, he's going to probably be working on something for it and trying to figure out the particulars of how to deal with everything, give it a bit of time.

Oh and open singles match to anyone interested.

Yeah, it's pretty much like KOTH, but it has a max of 4 players, and no little hopping characters at the bottom. SC4 has the same thing in player matches.

I just dusted off SC last weekend and tried to play. I forgot all my combos! And I kept trying to backdash cancel instead of 8wr. I pretty much kept forgetting what game I was playing. I really need to brush up.

Whenever we're all on(and I get in some serious practice) we'll for sure do a Tekken party.

Maybe if we play I won't get destroyed as bad since I'm kind of garbage at Soul Calibur.

Awesomeness, Zafina is gotta be one of the coolest female characters in Tekken to me, in addition to Alisa, Tekken's new characters for Tekken 6 were all pretty awesome, except I don't know how I feel about Bob...he's a bit meh to me.

Not that I'm super familiar with Tekken Tiers yet, but was Alisa like top tier or was there some issue with her missles?

Oh and also, you're right, we would need at least 8 consistent players, we're lucky to get three coming through here regularly these days and we're all discussing Tekken, Soul Calibur, and everything else lol.
