How on earth does King Of The Hill work, because I really wanted to play a bit King of the Hill and make an effort to earn the King Of The Hill achievements..

So this player is on, he's beating everybody. Either by actually winning. Or just boring/exhausting them to death with Reptile's Force Ball. Not a big deal, I can cope with losing.. But he's also being the most annoying little turd of a player, impatiently waiting at the Character Select screen, constantly selecting and deselecting his character until his opponent his selected their character.

Just because of his behaviour at the Character Select screen, I scored him 0. Then it was my turn to fight him and I had him on the ropes, God Damn, Reptile's Invisibility - still at least I forced him to do something different..

So I lost!! I scored him 0 because he'd been cheap and probably would have been obnoxious too, if I hadn't selected my character before him. After losing I quit out and tried to join another session, but after several attempts to quit out and join another session - it became glaringly obvious that there was no other session to join.

Is there only 1 King Of The Hill session, that everybody joins?? Because that is a little bit SUCKY!!

I don't really care for the achievements/trophies.

I'm pretty sure you don't need to use that matchmaking thing in the Online menu to earn the achievements. I've never used it once. Below the Ranked, Player, and Private Match options there is a select room option. That's what I've always used and I got the Ultimate Respect achievement that way. (Though, I've never actively tried to earn that achievement, I got it naturally.)

The only thing you gotta watch out for in these lobbies are the people who like to talk trash. And I mean real crap.

Matchmaking is the term, for when you actually select Ranked or Player Matches and then the game starts looking for opponents for you..

It doesn't apply to Private Matches since you most likely have somebody in mind that you intend to invite to a Private Match!!

Yes, yes. Thank you for reminding me. I've had horrible matchmaking experiences on Call of Duty 4.

I've never used the matchmaking on MK 2011. I prefer to select a room myself. You should try it out in your quest to earn KoTH achievements.

I've never really had that issue before. I guess if there's only one room and one king of the hill game and everyone else is playing private matches then I guess you would prob run into that.

If you want to get the achievements I'll help you out if you have the game for Xbox. My GT is FrostedCereal. I could use some KOTH achievements as well hahaha
There is definitely more than one server out there.

I guess you were just unlucky and online at a time where not much was going on...
