There is a shortcut in the input of the Air Sai throw.
The command is B, F, 1.
For the air Sai Throw, since you first have to jump and then input B ,F, 1, you lose time indeed.
The shortcut is : UB, F, 1.
When you jump backward, the game will understand that you have already pressed Back, so you you will just have to press F, 1 for a quick air Sai Throw.
This is great because after catching a jumping opponent with that, you can immediately do the roll B, D, 4 for a combo.
There is another examples, like Kabal B, B, 1 in air : UB, B, 1 is faster (I even used that in UMK3).
You can combo jumping opponents by linking the dash B, F, 4, but the timing is tighter than Mileena since Kabal dash has a slower start up (The enhanced Dash, however, comes faster).
Liu Kang B, F, 1 in air is the same too : UB, F, 1, but for him, iI didn't find a lot of
follow ups except B, F, 2.
