If Raiden is spamming Teleport and Fly, like most of them do.

Kano's knife beats the fly, and when raiden teleports. Kano will do the upwardball and hit raiden in the face.

For most online Raidens, you can beat them just with those moves, spam the knife incessantly, and when you he teleports the ball will come out automatically and counter. If they catch on (they never do) you can start having a real fight.

ALl you really need is to find a player who knows how the game works and raiden is pretty much an issue with everyone. probably why he became my favorite character real quick.

O yeah he is definitely still really overpowered, but Kano can at least contend with Raiden spam.

Im not tournament level and this is just based on my experiences. If somebody is out of order please explain to my why. I think that their are tools that perhaps I dont use properly, and if yall can show me why some people on here should be moved up or down, I want to understand it.

How can i say this without offending any Kratos players out there? Kratos is just a bad character all in all. He's pretty much the "Sheeva" of this era. With his limited options in the air and on the ground, he is basically screwed against the likes of fast players and fast characters like Noob, Mileena, Sonya, Johnny, ect. He has one move where he can shoot 3 arrows at you in one frame, but this move is really nothing but a move for anti air and ground control *zoning*. Moves like "Madusa stare" isn't good to use because they are too far away fo actually effect to take place *unless that was just the demo*. I could go on and on but Kratos + Lag = Your pretty much screwed.

Stryker that high? I say he's a little bit lower then that, but he's been a mid tier whore for his entire run in MK. He fits between Sheeva and up.

Too early to describe who should be top tier and god tier, but if i was to say it would probably have Kung Lao as the ultimate tier. Raiden is good but however he lacks speed in his moves, so for him that is painful. He makes it up with good recovery, popups, and damage. But this game is more about tactics rather then offensiveness so Raiden lacks that big humph factor. Raiden should be upper mid tier.

You can actually combo into Sheeva's X-ray with 2,1,2, X-ray, I don't know if anybody mentioned that, but I read the main list and it said you couldn't/

I think EVO will shake up this tier list somewhat. There was some strong Jax and Sonya representation. Raiden certainly didn't seem overpowered.

I'd like to see this list updated... I only read down to Cyrax. When I saw that his X-ray was listed as "Combo into/out: no/no", I felt there was no need to read further, since you can both combo into, and out of it (you can at least land an uppercut out of it. I haven't thoroughly tested it to see if a combo can be landed.).

I'd like to see an updated list and some information on the DLC characters. Kenshi is my main right now and I'd like to see how he officially stacks up against the competition.

Given my unfortunate situation regarding DLC and the fact I've pretty much stopped playing the game anyway. It might be a good idea to ask a mod to update the thread. I'm surprised the strategy forum is sort of a ghost town but that doesn't mean it shouldn't have a worthwhile archive.

I really think we should revisit my earlier idea of discussing a given character over a given time period. Talk about matchups, safety, etc. I made a post about Scorpion a while back, but I'll sum it up shortly here:

Best matchups: Baraka, Jax, Stryker
Worst matchups: Kung Lao, Raiden, Mileena

I'll flesh this out more later.
