Signed up. Can't expect to get in though, I gave my WBID to like 50 people near the beginning of the game for the exclusive skins, and since the WBID is linked to the beta sign up I don't know how that will work.

Apparently codes are already going out, a few people on TYM have gotten them and are already downloading the beta.

Already? Damn, didn't expect it so soon. I fired off an email, don't have high hopes though.

I hope someone like Max, Honeybee or Ketchup/Mustard gets a code so I can see some decent commentary on how it plays in comparison.

Been lurking around TYM and elsewhere, looks like the only codes that have been sent out this far is for XBox1.

Apparently there are changes in the beta.

For example both characters lose stamina if a breaker is used not just the character that used it.

Scorpion F2 in Ninjutsu finally an overhead so you have to respect his range now.

Any else?

THANKS BOON FOR SCAMMING PC USERS. NOT BUYING ANYTHING FROM NRS ANYMORE, GG.

Ya know, he's a super trolly dude but he gets a lot of unnecessary flack from this sort of ignorance.

1. NRS has nothing to do with the PC version. When MKX was announced he said plainly that NRS was ONLY working on the XB1 and PS4 versions. Everything else was outsourced by WB.

2. All of the shit that PC users and people hoping for last gen ports faced was the fault of WB, not NRS or Ed.

3. Ed and co. are rightfully hesitant to speak about things regarding the way WB is handling the above mentioned issues. WB is a massive company all too willing to use legal action when they want to. If Kojima couldn't even accept his own award for MGS5 because of Konami and still can't speak much about his situation there, even after his contract has ended, imagine what a company as big as WB does.

There are PLENTY of justifiable reasons for one to take issue with Ed Boon and NRS, but don't be so ignorant as to think he's in charge of all things related to MKX. If you want to threaten a boycott and be taken seriously, you should at least direct your threats in the proper direction. WB is who you have an issue with, sir. So by all means, boycott future Arkham games, DC films and comics, WB released records, upcoming Harry Potter films, Matrix films, most Nolan movies, all Lord of the Rings related media, the Pacific Rim franchise, the Lego films and games, the 300 franchise, Mad Max films, upcoming King Kong movies as well as Friday the 13th films.

Now, I'm going to check my email for a beta code.

Yeah I feel bad for Boon sometimes, due to him being like the face of MK/NRS he pretty much has to take any and all the shit when people get mad/upset about something MK related. He gets blamed for everything lol

I agree with all of this and most of my recent anger over the past few months has mostly been about WB, though I am guilty from time to time involving NRS because, well, they're easier to blame to be honest lol. WB tend to fuck up a lot of good things (insert Arkham franchise here) by involving themselves and making shitty decisions that other normal companies don't usually make with their games.

As for the code, still waiting patiently to see if I end up getting one. I hope I do.

WB got me right in the cornhole with Shadow of Mordor's last gen delays and content cuts. From now on if I can't buy the primary release of one of their games, I'm just going to take a pass until it's in a bargain bin somewhere. WB doesn't make games or movies. They make money.

Yeah, they've fucked a lot of shit up. These PC ports, the outrageous Season Pass for Arkham Knight and the insistence on putting multiplayer in (and rushing out) Arkham Origins, the Shadow of Mordor stuff you mentioned, the involvement of so many guests in MKX.... the list just keeps growing and growing. NRS though by doing this netcode is showing me they want to prove they care and are trying their best so gotta commend them for that.

Exactly. And not just rebuilding their netcode, but implementing it halfway through a game's life cycle? That's unheard of. And like you said shows a huge level of dedication and passion to make their games as good as they can possibly be. Whether or not the netcode will make its way into PC versions is up in the air, as NRS has nothing to do with that, but the games THEY are working on have a bright future ahead.

Meanwhile, WB is looking for ways to make cash. Buyers should definitely beware where WB is concerned.

Aaaaaand still no beta code.

Yeah, me neither. lol Though I watched Maximilian last night play some with the code he got from NRS to use on stream and he was highly impressed with the changes and experienced little to no problems. That's a huge plus for me given how overly critical he can be when it comes to stuff like that.

- No movie guest character related bullshit. Which means more dedicated time to more characters.
- The worst that can happen to the games is anything relating to online (netcode, online passes).
- EA still caters to last gen consoles as long as they can, which means mkx on 360/ps3 and more money

As much as it's cool to hate EA, but this is one exception here. Would had been a better choice imo.

What like Bruce Lee in UFC?! LOL. EA would probably want more movie related tie-ins.

That is insane. EA force developers to do certain things and limit creative freedom. For example, they always force multiplayer even when it is not required. If a studio underperforms because of the bad practices they shut that studio down. That is just the tip of the iceberg. I could go on but will not. EA is the worst video game publisher by a country mile.

I would agree that EA would be much worse. Both EA and WB are all about the cash grabs. However WB is way more hands-off with their money makers such as NRS and Rocksteady. WB also gives them all the time they need to make good games. EA loves pushing out titles, yearly if possible. I'd hate to see MK turn into Madden. If nothing else, WB lets their people do their thing.
