Online stratgey
Hello everyone first I would like to be first and start this forum off with an online stratgey to deal with rage players and "novice rookies".
I'm myself is an intermediate player i tend on using sweeps and distance high and low kicks. However I'm not a "spammer" I'm a fair fellow player. So here myself giving you some strategy tips on online and offline.
1. One thing i like to use is sweeps. This move helps alot especially online.
2. Another thing to do is distance yourself to set up you're next plan or special or whatever trick you plan on using.
3. One thing is when some tries to lunge at you just take a few steps back and then perform a high kick
Well those are some basic. if you can think of anything else then jot them down for me lol

Ummm.... I'm more of a defense guy, and let me say, in MK, dodging is better then blocking if your good at it

It is, however, far more difficult to punish by merely dodging, unless you're using characters who can teleport or have fast projectiles.

Your right. However, on defens, I worry less about "punishing" and more about small combos that knock my opponent AWAY from me. It's too easy to gett ounished yourself just by blocking.
I'm actually working on a really long defense strategy thread, hopefully you guys will stop by and let me know if I left out some helpful info and what not.
In MKvsDC, 90 percent of the time my online opponents would fall for an uppercut wake up. It did a decent amount of damage, they rarely saw it coming, and it sent them flying giving me space to do my thing.
Teleports where also a huge advantage in my opinion. If somebody is spamming a projectile all you have to do is teleport and then start a combo. I think only enhanced teleports will start combos, which is fair.

I like to be tricky and I play very well with Sub-Zero in all of the games. I usually start off the round with a jump kick untill somebody catches on then I switch up to a roundhouse kick if they decide to be a little to agressive. I know the basics of combos and could use a little more time trying to string them together to mash off big time damage but after playing Mortal Kombat for a long time I would say I'm an average player. Never really dabbled in MK vs DC but played the hell out of the rest of the games to know the value of uppercuts and leg sweeps, was a bit let down when they weren't really included in Deadly Alliance and Deception. I'm always up for tips from other players.

Online strategy is to use lag tactics, as in using stuff that don't work irl but work when there is lag.
