I actually watched part of the archived MK stream the other day, was surprised at how many good players competed.

Was glad to see 16-bit still doing great with Kitana and PBoard showing some high level Ermac play was fun.

Yeah 16Bit was rusty though. Kitana vs Kenshi is still a brutal match-up.
Guessing you don't follow the Injustice tourney scene Neph?

I've seen some matches here and there, but not much. During the MK days I was unemployed so I had plenty of time to watch live streams and recorded footage. I've been working full time since August last year and haven't had enough free time to follow the tourney scene. For the last month or two I've been like a walking dead man cause of all the overtime hours at work. I try to get as much sleep/rest as possible over the weekends and with the 6h+ time difference between central Europe and USA there's just no way I can watch the streams live anymore.

Another thing is I never got the game and never played it (apart from the demo a few times), so I'm not that familiar with strengths and weaknesses of the characters either. Whereas in MK I was familiar with the game and played it a lot, so when I was watching tourney matches I knew what was going on and that made it even more interesting.

I know 16-bit mained Killer Frost in the early days and then switched to Catwoman. Funny how we like the same characters as Catwoman is my fave character in Injustice, just like Kitana was in MK.

I probably will do some YouTube search for some Injustice tourney matches. Besides Catwoman, I'm interested in seeing some high-level Flash, Nightwing, Black Adam, Zatanna, Martian Manhunter and Zod gameplay. I think I've read on TYM that m2dave is maining Zod. He must be a god zoner lol.



Oh yeah... Are there any Captain Marvel players? I don't think I've seen any matches with him yet. Is he bad or something?

There's a lot of new faces and people from other scenes that went in on Injustice and since the "big v 1.06 patch" the game has great balance and new life. As far as top players using the characters you mentioned.

Sorry for the questions lol. You don't have to answer if you don't feel like it. And speaking of REO, I saw some MKT footage from Blu Planet Kombat #3 and was blown away with his Sektor!

No problem man! I remember you as one of the few mods that cared / followed the offline tourney scene and man...the Injustice scene is alive and well.

< Honestly that hype has died down a bit and it's more (predictably) about regions. East Coast vs West Coast, etc. The craziest thing is that a lot of low-tier MK guys seriously leveled up so even though they were technically part of the MK scene, they weren't the high profile guys. 16Bit is still repping that Catwoman like no ones business though. Actually all of GGA leveled up like madmen and their scene is one of the most fun to watch. Check out their stream sometime. Oh...and the KTP is back if you were a fan of that. Still just as awesome.

Maaaaan, CD Prime is full-blown retired from tourneys as is Maxster. However, Maxster has recently been more active and has a pretty awesome Lobo. He's still involved albeit distantly.

CD Jr. is probably the most interesting case as he was naturally expected to pick up Injustice and continue his ridiculous domination. Except...that didn't happen. There was a lot of drama about Jr. shitting on the Injustice scene and the game as he ultimately just decided that he didn't like the game and was supposed to go full in on Killer Instinct or maybe even AE.

I think he's just got to the point where he doesn't want to spend a lot of time training and traveling. He was active towards the beginning of the games life but just...didn't fall in love with it like MK. He's still a freak of nature though and his MMH will make you shit your pants. He'll be at some of the Majors.
