Hey guys, After taking some serious though on who I was going to use as far as maining with when I go to tournaments or just friendly comptietion I was trying everyone in the game and decided to go with Noob, Evrn though Scorpion's been my fav MK char since MK1 I just felt I used him too much so decided to go with Noob, But now here's the problem, I've seemed to master a few of his combos that he has and attempted to create some of my own but now the problem is that every time I play against a player I lose cause either they catch me to quick with a never ending combo or when I preform my combo in the same pace I do in practice mode it won't input the whole thing(Espically with onlines SUPER LAG!), So my questions break down into these . .

1.) What do you guys think is the best way to play Noob as?

&

2.) Should I use him more as a stay away character or more of a combo rush type?

I would really appreciate some help and feedback guys and thanks.smile

Spam teleport like a boss.

J/k, I'm not that great at Noob, so I wouldn't know.

I usually use basic kombos and chain them with one special

Like 2, 1, 2 , Shadow Charge/Shadow Slide/Teleport Slam/X-Ray
Same with Back + 1, 2, 1, 4, ( continue with the 4 ones mentioned )

Force them to block high with shadow charge then switch to shadow slide to hit low. They will start blocking low dash/jump in to create your own opening to hit ur combos. Use the anti air shadow to stop them jumpong in. Do not teleport unless u knw ur going to get the grab.

Wow thanks guys, Though no one would replie for a while there.

@Smokeman 14 - I've been doing that already but I guess I still have some perfecting that needs to go into those as far as being comfortable on remebering the patterns more but thanks anyway for the trouble

@zionsoljah - Thanks, I'll try doing that, So from this I'll discet it and say first start as a keep away in order to confuse them from going back and forth between Shadow Runs & Shadow Slide and if the jump towards me make sure to charge them with a combo but must be the one to hit first in order to pull it off and don't tele unless I'm sure to grab them? If this is about right then I'll work on doing this, Thanks again.

If anyone has more ways I'm open to hear more.

Noob is one of the best long range fighters in the game. The shadow tackle is a great move that you can just throw out there at super long range, and after you get one (most) characters will have to block another one if you do it immediately. The teleslam is a no brainer punish to anyone who does something stupid, like an obvious fireball or a jump back or really anything unsafe, and if your opponent tries to get clever, use the anti air and the portal to keep them from being to aggressive.

That said, his strings and high low are actually kind of crummy so if you absolutely have to go in, make sure you close off your combos with the slide since a lot of people won't be ready for the low block. If you hit with his uh . . 3,3,3 or 1,1,2,4 (I think?) combos tack a ghost ball on to the end, most opponents will do something stupid the second they get up because they can't block, at which point xray, teleslam, or tackle them for being dumb.

speaking of xray, you can catch a lot of people with it randomly from long range but I think its much better used after a successful ghost ball or a hole. It requires a little timing and thought, but the chance is way better than just hoping it doesn't get jumped (or countered) when you throw it out at full screen.
