Next UMK3 tournament is most likely in February at Break Down at 8 on the Break in Dunellen, NJ. When I get confirmation I will post an update.

Wow, good matches. Throws galore...I'd say the controls weren't the best, as nobody gets thrown that much and it was everywhere, heh.

Yeah man the controls were pretty bad. Convex, schmonvex... if the button STICKS, it's not gonna be worth a damn to anybody! And the diagonals were all out of whack, hence all the throwing. Also you might notice an odd frequency of straight-up jumps; lots of times I would try to jump in with something and instead my guy would just jump straight up like a moron.

Okay what's the deal with some of these Kaillera servers now? I tried to start a UMK3 game and I got a message telling me that the game was not allowed on that server. Only 3 decent servers showed up when I pinged last night... Anti-3D and SCD both blocked out UMK3, and I couldn't get into GodWeapon for some reason. I got a room started on a European server, just to see if it would work, but I can't be bothered with that 100 ping stuff when I'm usually getting something in the low teens.

Man screw Anti3D if they're gonna get all snobby like that.

I ran into the same problem. I havent played online for like 2 months cuz of lag, and now mk is getting blocked? whats up with everyone playing sf and kof 97? why block a cool game like mk and worship retarted kof? its like stock car racers banning formula 1.

It's like science completely rejecting the laws of gravity.

Just to let you know Matt my mk online nick is smoke whore, I would like that to be added to that top list of names please when u get the time.

also wanted to mention that i tried in the past to get people from the michigan area that play MK to collabarate with me to make the spider web bigger so again anyone in the michigan area thats down for mk1. mk2, mk3 and best of all umk3 matches i am willing to hold tourneys in my apartment by hooking up mame on the big screen so anyone interested PM me on here

There will be a UMK3 Tournament at 8 on the Break February 18th, 2006. UMK3 is generally an under the table tournament so no cover charge will apply (most likely) and a $5 entry fee for the UMK3 tournament itself plus quarters to play is the expense.

Anyone have tips on getting into GodWeapon? For some reason I can never seem to connect. And since Anti3D decided to be retards, my options for decent netplay are really slim here.

I played MK4 against someone yesterday through ePSXe, and I was wondering if "ePSXe" capability should be added to the current list, or if there is no room maybe make a new list underneath.

I'd like to play some MKT online, or even MK4, but I'd like to know if it's worth hosting a game. If there is no player base, then I wont be left for ages "waiting 1/2" with an open MKT game like some kinda fool

I would add it, but it's nearly impossible to get people to use it, it desyncs a lot, and runs choppy no matter how good your computer is.

Yeah, I had some bad lag playing MK4 actually, and I'd never tried MKT over epsxe.

I've played SFEX2 and MK4 over ePSXe and it worked perfectly from disc not ISO. You have to have the EXACT same settings as your opponent, get on AIM or MSN to set it up together.

*TIP* the best way for mk4 online is to play the n64 version

Yeah MKT on ePSXe ran surprisingly well for me. Much smoother than playing UMK3 on MAME; everything had a real "clean" feel to it. Of course getting the same settings between both players is the challenge, so communication beforehand is key.
