No. He has the ninjas regulars (which is good) and a set of combos like Kano's, same button hits, although I thought he had a couple of his own combos that Kano didn't have as well. And he is fast as hell.
Ah ok, I figured it was something like that. I was wondering why someone would want to go to all that trouble just to make him playable in a tournament. confused

He has HK, LP; HK, D+LP, D+HP; HK, HK, LK, B+HK; HP, HP, LP; HP, HP, D+LP, D+HP; and HP, HP, HK, LK, B+HK. I think that's it. They just call the corresponding frames. In Wavenet I think he was given the teleport, and possibly an airthrow, which would have made him top 10 with almost 50% off a knee lift and no specials because of the fast walking.

Interesting. Funny how he gets all the button commands for Kano's autocombos, despite no longer using the Kano sprite.

Yeah this offers an interesting look at how they code the game.

On a totally random note, somebody from Ars Technica PMed me today to say he played UMK3 wavenet a few times and described the game a bit.

He says that Noob indeed is only playable via wavenet but thats been confirmed way more than its been denied. You would put in your quarters and pick 1player or wavenet, if you pick wavenet it'd sit for about 30 seconds waiting for a free player. If it didn't find one after 30 seconds you'd start playing a 1 player game until it found one.

Sounds like a whole lot of fun.

Matt, I've asked my supervisor several times to let me have the weekend off so I can go to ECC, but it's a no-go...damn black-out days. Busy store during Memorial Day weekend.

I was really looking forward to meeting everyone and playing you guys in person. Oh well...maybe next time.

Vids are going up soon, I put up all 8 of the Grand Finals matches, both sets.

Check them out for now, it's all Kabal vs Reptile, very intense, to fully appreciate it you have to understand Kabal's advantages, I'm probably only going to put up the best from the other matches because there's 2 1/2 hours of tournament footage, best 3 out 5s across the board so we could ensure everyone got enough playtime.

Those were some very intense matches. Kabal is so dangerous, you played it very well Matt.

You got so many little pot-shot kara-jabs in...those jabs add up faster than the Run Jabs Bill was doing.

this guy bill is so annoying. the only bad thing is that you could add more dash punches but you told me that sticks were bad so thats ok.

Yeah, there was one match where for the Hell of it I even tried starting the inf. You can see in at least two matches where I get juggles, and then Reptile cancels the punch and stands there and does nothing, because it didn't register either the back or forward.

Kabal(bill) vs Reptile (shock) at the end was ridiculous. People kept saying "What the hell?" as they watched, wondering why Kabal was losing out to the run jabs. The whole experience was great, but I'll have to definately practice on real sticks before doing it again. My joystick hand is still swollen O.O
