Not trying to be clever here, but why tell people to vote for MK? I like MK9 as much as the next guy, but that doesn't mean I'm automatically gonna vote for it over other possible games I like. I think people should vote for it if they want to and shouldn't be told to, it's just in bad taste. I never approved of this practice which happens on many message boards, just saying.
No one is harassing you to vote for MK9 or forcing you to vote. This is an MK site and we are showing our love and support for MK. Asking, showing and/or reminding members that they have the possibility to vote for the game we help to promote/support is not the same as actually threatening you to do it.
I need to go, so, I'll just quote these for you:

@damienjakk: It's just a heads up for the MK fans (on an MK fan site) to let them know they have a chance to give some love and support for their beloved game and I'm sure the community appreciates it. It's not like anyone is forcing people to vote for MK or to vote at all.

You have a point but it would be similar to a game developer telling: "Buy our game, or buy another game instead if you want - we're not forcing!"
...That wouldn't be very convincing, would it?

This is an MK fan page, of course it will support MK, same with other fan pages and its games.

Is it really that serious..?
If you don't want to vote for them, don't vote for MK. I really don't see the problem.
It's not like they're bullying people into voting for Mortal Kombat.

The article is telling people to go vote for MK though. The tone comes off as if my mind has been made up for me already. I know it's an MK site, but again the tone makes it sound like I'm not supposed to vote for anything else or that I should be guilted into it. Very poor taste.
I'm sorry you feel that way, but, I really do think you are taking all of this out of proportion and making a big deal out of nothing.
An MK fan site is showing its support for MK. You don't have to vote for the game if you don't want to. That simple.
Same thing goes for that "Spike TV awards". You could vote for MK or Freddy
if you wanted to. Many didn't vote for Freddy. That simple.
If the article featured some kind of indirect threat or negative subliminal message I'd agree with your point, but, it doesn't.
That being said, your comments have been taken into consideration.
