A clash of chaotic conspiring forces! Takahashi Takeda is the favored student of redeemed spectre: Hanzo Hasashi. Takeda harnesses the controlled chaos of Shirai Ryu techniques, using them to aid the pursuit of corrupt Kamidogu. Shujinko is a forgotten warrior of the Kang Temple - himself once charged with guarding the Kamidogu. Touched by the cleric of chaos Havik, Shujinko stands against Raiden's chosen in service of a new corrupting master. When would-be heroes collide who stands supreme? Choose their destiny! ... FIGHT!

Takeda's concept art with the long hair and the whips going up his arms were far better than the end product in my opinion.

If he had stayed this way, he'd easily be the best new addition in the game. That coupled with his lame dialogue means I'm going with the incredibly unpopular Shujinko.

Agreed, that concept art is very unique.

Even though I have fond memories of Deception's Konquest Mode, Takeda is just the better character for me.

Don't be ashamed. I, too, find Shujinko to be very underrated.

Not that I hate Shujinko, but I wished he was written a lot better as a character. Plus I find the whole "stealing other characters' moves" only convenient to the plot of Deception where you're basically doing tutorials of learning the movesets of Deception characters throughout Konquest. Plus the powers Shujinko has is dependent on the characters he absorbed those powers from so Shujinko's power level as a whole is variable.

I think Takeda was the strongest new character in MKX, so he probably deserves it most

I like Shujinko but Takeda is the best newcomer and one of my favourite characters. Shujinko will have his day eventually.

Takeda. One of my favorite new guy. I don't dislike Shujinko thought.
While I like Takeda, I voted for Shujinko to put this whippersnapper in his place...

From apprentices to their masters! Havik is a cleric of disorder hailing from the anarchic realm of Chaos. As the mastermind behind the corruption of Kamidogu he manipulated forces with persistent precision. Scorpion was once a corrupt ninja spectre fueled by rage, but learned to control the chaos burning within his soul. Given a second chance at life he directs his fury as the master of a new Shirai Ryu clan slaughtered by Havik's manipulation! It's a new blood feud - but who loses the face-off? Choose their destiny!... FIGHT!

Havik was brilliant in the comics but without gameplay I will not vote for him now, better luck next time cleric. Scorpion demonstrated careless stupidity but he is still my 5th favourite character.

This is sooooo tough...

The klassic face of the game, one of the reasons I was drawn to the series as a whole, or one of the best characters to come out of the 3D era.

Going with Havik. Just because I missed his presence in MKX and I'm tired of playing against hundreds of n00by Scorpion players online.

Just when I thought they finally made Scorpion interesting in the comic, it all goes to shit in the game. I still remember when he appeared the first time and all I could think in the back of my mind was "don't fuck this up don't fuck this up don't fuck this up."

But lo and behold: it was too good to be true.

Anyway: What's to be said about Havik that hasn't been said already. Next to Kenshi, he is perhaps the most missed 3D era character.

I'm sorry, but as much as I love Scorpion, I just had to vote for Havik.
Havik, hands down! *tears off hand & throws it*

Chaos over raging vengance.
