I think Cyrax looks bad ass....Everyone is Complaining..but At least he isnt a carbon Copy of Sektor...

As for Kitana..Love the Hair....But thats about it.....If I play as her...Its going to be in her Alternate Costume..whatever that may be...

But overall, Their looks dont bother me too much..as long as they play well.


And the Arena's are Freakin Awesome :)

I'm glad the Cyrax hate it subsiding (I hope). He looks like I wanted him too, with a distinguished mask, rounder, and closer to the traditional MK cybermask.

Kitana looks fantastic. Glad they didn't copy and paste her MKvsDC look, which was a little childish looking, this design is more of a royal edenian princess approach.

Cyrax does look pretty cool but a little dissapointing overall. Hopefully vids will show him off better. I looooovvveeeeee kitanas hair!!! Very happy the green net is back. I have to say the 2 arenas do look pretty epic. The Tower especially. I really hope there is a stage fatality including those gears in the backround. And maybe for the desert some kind of desert shark or something. CANT WAIT FOR VIDS!

The only thing I'm not wild about is them both having the head cables.

Can't see Kitana's front so I will wait for more images before I decide how much I like that. Hopefully her costume is not like Mileena's in that it's missing the middle.

I actually really like Cyrax's design. It's different but I think it works. Its like Sektor but it's still individual. Kitana looks good, I mean we can only see her back and side but still nice. The graphics have definitely improved.

Now some videos would be ace!

The arenas look amazing!

My problem is that he looks nothing like Cyrax.

The helmet should have at least stayed the same. He's far too sleek and slim looking, which really should be Sektor's traits. Cyrax ought to be the bulky one.

Cyrax looks awful... Seriously, I can't stand his new costume. Looks like I'll be using his Alternate Version only (since I don't think it can get worse than that).

Actually, having a second look, I think it would of been better if Cyrax had something like his original helmet. Some more black in the costume I think would of been better. Ah well, still cool though! and the green net is back which is awesome.

As for whether or not he looks like Cyrax....NO ONE..Absolutely No one seen here, In my opinion, looks like any of their counterparts from MK:D / MK:A

Sektor Looks nothing Like the Sektor from MK:A. But he still "Looks" like what you might expect Sektor too look like on the very basic level. Red...Cybernetic...Missles....etc. etc.

The Same goes for Kitana, and the rest of the Characters we have seen so far.

The design sensibility of this game is so strange...
It's all very 'do MK but be different' and doesn't seem to be driven by any kind of cohesive vision, or motivated by the characters.

Getting in close on Cyrax it doesn't look too bad, but the svelt quality and it's slight removal from human anatomy is what Sektor always should've been, I think. Cyrax was the one that went and joined up with the Americans (bulky machines), and Sektor went to the Tekunin, embraced his cybernetic condition, and should've really been getting into more diverse mecha territories and into advanced tech.

Obviously those ideas don't really matter when we're going back to 1993, let alone when we're separating characters with gimmicks (as has always been done). Just not sure what to make of it.

The arenas look pretty fantastic. That'd have to be the overwhelming positive to take away from it. The back of the clockface is great and that's a great elaboration that we haven't actually seen already in all the other 'back to MKII' games we've just lived through. It's just a shame a 2D axis is the fad and we won't actually be able move around in them, or experience them with any more delicately applied interactivity. They're spectacular in quality, but not scope. Nice to see sand again, which was something I quite liked in MKDA.

I suppose those shots of Kitana shackled in Khan's Arena gave us an idea of what to expect afterall. Pretty hohum. Mileena's hold on the stripper look doesn't seem to be exclusive. Seems like we'll never get a Kitana in any kind of royal attire, flowing gowns, or any such. I suppose if the Queen of the UK can hit hard economic times, maybe it's fair that post-war Edenia can't afford much more than swimmers. Actually, it's all starting to fit. Only a royal could afford such a lengthy loinflap on her outfit during times of war. All the others have to conserve fabric and wear skirts and knickerbockers. Probably can't even afford tacky prints, but I digress.

The X-factor will be any context the story adds to costumes, but at this point, it's getting very easy to be cynical about that kind of design logic, or the quality of the story.

It's getting to a 'don't say anything at all' point, I think, but if there's any truth to the rumors of an HD reworking of the original MKs, then it adds a whole new bitter context to all of this moving backward. Unless the new 2D game is the real MK, and these wacky time travel hijinx are the side project sequel to MKvsDC. Shyeah.

Great tech going into this thing, and glimpses of something really positive.
Some cool arena action. Shame about everything else.

Nice! Cyrax is more sleek than I imagined, but I'll hold judgment until I see some video of him in motion. He kind of reminds me of Bumblebee haha.

The new arenas look tight! I love the detail of the desert where the player's feet are IN the sand, not on top of it. It's a small detail, but still pretty cool.

I really enjoy Cyrax! I'm less happy with slutty Kitana...

Her fans are really terrible looking... they should be different, this looks like Kitana has made that weapon herself with knifes and paper.... horrible.

I just also want to say, as a Side note....Mileena and Reptile both look FREAKING AWESOME without their masks. ^.^ OH and also If you look at the Picture with Kung Lao In it....The amount of Detail in the Damage he has taken is AWESOME.....His Hat is bent!!! :O I didnt know that could happen! O_O

Most of them still have their defining visual traits, though. Cyrax has always had the helmet from MK3, it's pretty important to his look. You'd think for a main costume they would respect that and at least make him somewhat resemble what he's looked like in the past.

Excluiding Mileena, right? Since her costume is simply an update of her Alt. Version on MKD and MKA.
