Tanya Returns in New Mortal Kombat X DLC Trailer

The treacherous Edenian Tanya is returning to kombat in the latest official trailer for Mortal Kombat X! She joins the playable roster as the second of four additional fighters bundled in The Kombat Pack.

Long time fans will remember Tanya from her debut in 1997's Mortal Kombat 4. She participated as a facilitator for Mortal Kombat X big bad Shinnok - condemning the realm she is now fighting to restore in MKX. She enjoyed a brief return seven years later in Mortal Kombat: Deception and its compilation sequel.

The downloadable Tanya has received a design upgrade since her Story Mode appearance. She's also bringing with her a whole new array of fighting techniques, including the addition of naginata and tonfa weapons. It's a whole new Tanya for a new generation of kombat - and she already has hardcore fans talking!

Tanya ranked #2 on Mortal Kombat Online's pre-game Top 10 MKX Return Kombatants. She is currently awaiting Round 2 of the annual Supreme Mortal Kombat Champion tournament, where fans determine the best character of the moment. She defeated fellow Kombat Pack DLC fighter Tremor in the first round.

GOD I am so much more excited about her than I was about Jason... I could really have given a crap about Jason...

For Tanya I'm stoked.

So much more excited about MK characters than Guests... I suppose to the general public, who aren't huge MK fans, it's the other way around... but... yeah. More DLC like this plz. Less Guests.

Wow, she is looking bad ass.

Also - she should've been on the regular roster, instead of wasting a DLC spot.

In any case, looking forward to playing her...I am happy that she seems to have full dialogues with the other characters that are specific to her, rather than the generic line opponents spit out at Jason (considering he doesn't speak).

She looks great. I love her gameplay and I'm now totally sold on her look seeing it in action. All three of her variations seem to be unique and solid.

Also, MK1 Kano > all. I haven't invested much time in him, that costume makes me want to.

Now that's how variations are done!

Maybe it's a good thing she wasn't part of the initial roster after all, so NRS had more time to work on that instead of throwing an invisibility move and call it a day.

Tanya's first fatality is amazing her second one is ok I like that she stomps a hole through the chest and face after pushing her opponent down and putting the tonfas through each hand but still her first fatality with the dropkick through the chest holding the heart with the intestines stuck to her that takes the cake for me.

OMG her Pop Pop brutality is awesome! I don't think it shares animation with anyone else's! The oponent ends up in a pile of bones like in MK1/3
