Deadly Alliance gets rave reviews
GamePro.com has posted it's reviews for the Xbox and Playstation 2  versions of Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance. They also have some new screen captures. We are told a  review for the Game cube version is on its way. As in most publications, MK:DA seems to getting nice reviews. We would like to hear your own reviews as well. Keep posting them on our discussion forum!

Thanks to Gamepro's own Dan Elektro for the heads up on this update.

PSM DVD has Making of MKDA Video
I picked up a copy of the Dec. 2002 issue of PSM Magazine, and noticed that it has the "Making of MK Deadly Alliance" video that also appears in the game.  If anyone has a DVD drive/player but not a next-gen console, this could be a way to see what you're missing.
Access Hidden Characters...
I might have missed this on our forum, but I noticed Dave Rosteck over at Dave's Mortal Kombat posted in his Printable Moves Guide on how to unlock the hidden characters Blaze and Mokap. Still takes a lot of time and effort on your part, but hey.. isn't that what "replay value" is all about?  You can find the details at the link below towards the bottom of his FAQ:

So far I haven't seen or heard of any actual "codes" or "hidden menus" in the game. Let us know if you find anything.

Master Coin Code for the Krypt!
Our long time friend, Nosaj Samoht,  has sent us the Master Coin Code for Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. It has been tested on the Xbox and PS2 versions:

I found the master coin code for Xbox on the 24th and someone tried it on the PS2 yesterday and it works also. It will give you unlimited coins to use in the game.

Choose a vs. game and load a profile for each fighter. Make sure each has a nice amount of each coin. Wager one round as normal and then after the first fight has ONLY player one open the wager tag but not player 2. Have player one press left or right and they will hear a coin sound and then press up and you will hear coins being bet. The sound will stop and hit the wager button again to make the tag disappear. Now both fighters choose characters and fight with player 1 beating player 2. Player one will win money but Player 2 WILL NOT lose any. Within a hour you can rack up enough to open all coffins.

With the Xbox hit the right trigger to open the wager window and on the PS2 hit the R2 button.

When you open the wager tab with player one the coins are as follows to bet since you cant tell what coin you are betting.

Right once and up = Onyx
Right twice and up = Jade
Right three and up = Ruby
Right four and up = Gold
Right five and up = Platinum
Right six and up = Sapphire

Not sure if this also works on the Gamecube version. If anybody knows drop us a line.

Update 25 Nov. 3:02 PM EST: Thanks to our readers Matt Lynch and Scott Ramsey for testing this out on the Gamecube version. This trick does work on all three platforms.
