On the heels of his character vignette, a gameplay trailer has surfaced on IGN featuring the ice warrior Sub-Zero! Much like Scorpion's gameplay trailer, this video showcases Sub-Zero fighting style and special abilities.
Gamespot has released a video bio featuring the iconic Sub-Zero as he appears in the upcoming Mortal Kombat. The legendary cyromancer's canon storyline seems to remain the same, though new information in the way of the old and the younger Sub-Zero being abducted as children by the Lin Kuei aswell as their original names before taking on their known alias. Thus being Bi-Han and Kuai Liang.

After being prompted to choose your character from the selection - Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Mileena, Shao Kahn and Raiden, You are taken to their individual pages which showcase a Render and a small Biography of your chosen warrior! Whilst nothing entirely new is present yet. You can see what appears to be Scorpion's Lair from MK3 as Scorpions background image along with The Bell Tower art and a 6th characters silhouette who has yet to be unlocked.
The official Mortal Kombat website has been changed revealing a teaser of what's to come for the site.
Joystiq.com released four new screenshots today featuring eight characters in various states of combat. Included is a screenshot of Cyrax performing a special move, possibly a redesign of his Saw Blade attack from Deadly Alliance. Not to be outdone, Nightwolf is showcased bringing down a green energy knife on Mileena. Johnny Cage, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Reptile are also featured.
A day after IGN released the "Shadows" teaser trailer for the new Mortal Kombat, WB Games has released an HD-quality non-watermarked version of the trailer. The trailer features several kombatants, seen only by their shadows (hence the trailer name), fighting and finishing each other. The music is Disturbed's "Another Way to Die", off of their fifth album. (Unlike Adema's "Immortal", this song was not created specifically for Mortal Kombat.)
Recently, Game Informer caught up with series co-creator Ed Boon and touched on a subject unknown to most. Following the release of Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks Paradox Studios was slated to do another game featuring rivals Scorpion and Sub-Zero called Mortal Kombat: Fire And Ice. The game apparently would have played somewhat similar to Shaolin Monks, but due to funding the concept was eventually abandoned.
E3 came to a close on June 17th, but as the media left the floor and the fans tuned away from their streams, Mortal Kombat was the game on everyone's mind. After winning Gamespot's Fan Choice award during Day 2, the game was chosen to close out the site's coverage of the event. Ed Boon narrated over the gameplay featured as designers Paulo Garcia and John Edwards took control of several of the game's revealed characters to showcase gameplay mechanics, special moves and fatalities.
