hello... i played mortal kombat from day 1. and i know when i first played mk2 on a snes i could do jaxs shock wave in the air. do i remember wrong?
2nd: sub zeros fatality in mortal kombat 1 . . . wich version do you need to do the spine rip fatality. i have got the original pal snes version and i checked the emulation of the mega drive version (dont know wich code).

To answer your questions...

1) Yes, you remembered wrong. Jax cannot do his shock wave projectile attack in mid-air in any version of MKII. However, he does gain this ability when you play as MKII Jax in MK Trilogy (PSX/PC/Saturn edition).

2) You can do this in the Arcade without a code, but for the Genesis version you use a code. Either ABACABB at the code screen, or DULLARD at the main menu screen. There are other versions of MK1 where you can do the spine rip as well (Sega CD, Jakks TV Games, Amiga, Game Gear, etc.) but those two are the most popular.
