You know me its 2-D :)

2D just seems less complicated and more entertaining. It's cool to see 3D graphics in an MK game, but 2D is where MK should have stayed.

Mk2rage i couldnt agree more. 2-d was the heart and soul of MK now its just another 3-d fighting game blah.

either one...but since we are in a new day and age....2d is a ting of the past.

Mortal Kombat was best when it was 2-D. I'm very disappointed in the direction Midway is taking the whole 3-D transformation.

Mortal Kombat was great in 2-D, however I look toward the future and like someone previously stated 2-D is a thing of the past.

I feel that Mortal Kombat could change the whole entitiy of 3-D fighting with the interactive enviorments that actually determine the outcome of a battle. I feel that Mortal Kombat is becoming what I had fantasized a long time ago.

3D is best but 2D is Best of the Best

If I'm going to play a 2D fighter anymore, I'll play Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Don't get me wrong, MK is great in 2D, but it's just incredibly dated nowadays. I could still play MK2, but I hate just about anything past that. MK3/UMK3/MKT pretty much killed Mortal Kombat in 2D for me. Long live 3D MK.

Scarecrow im just the opposite. I like mk3,umk3,mkt.MK4 is what killed 3-d for me.

MK4 had the "breaktruough" from 2D to 3D, and I think it was a bit too early. It was too big for Midway. Other 3D fighting games had better looks in that time when that came out. It didn't really had a lot to do with 3D in the moveing and the lack of combos... But now that Deception is coming, it looks interesting. So it is a tie for me. MK2, UMK3, a bit of DA, and waiting for D.

2d is definitely better for mortal kombat. If you look at the first few mortal kombat games, the characters actually look like real people, now they just look like polygons on steroids.

I try to like 3-d and give it a chance but i just cant.Everytime i play MKDA i feel like i was playing tekken or soul calibur i dont like those games.MK going 3-d seems like its more of a kiddie game now like with bo rai cho farting puking. And the fighters and weapons are way to big.MK probaly will never go back to 2-d its a shame i dont understand maybe thats why tobias left he got sick of Boons Ideas. I dont blame him Boon wants to supersize MK its getting ridiculous who the hell wants to play mk chess or mk tetris or have a douche like apep in conquest mode its sad really.

I'm totally agree with psyclobex, I think 3DMK is about great graphics, and is just "another 3D fighting game, but the real MK feeling is lost. Those hi-resolution sprites in the original 2DMk are just the best!

2-D all the way. I find myself Playing Mortal Kombat 1 & Ultimate MK 3 on my genesis more than I play MK4 & Deadly Alliance.
