This stuff about secrets reminds me so much of the MK II era. It's the same situation.

MK II comes out and all of the secrets are found in no time. But people are SURE there just MUST be something else. There just has to be!

"That tree with it's mouth open at the end of The Living Forest must mean something"

"why have weapons in the Armory if you can't use them?"

"why are those hooks there in the dead pool if you can't knock someone into them?"

"that guy on fire in the back of the Pit II must be a hidden character"

"the moving floor in the armory has to be a secret level"

"why are there two dragon logos on the selection screen?"

And so on. Of course it all turned out to be nothing in the end and the only real secrets was the stuff right there in front of us.

Historically it does not go well for Noob to be uber hidden in DA. They've never done that. No hidden character in the history of the series has been that well hidden. Reptile jumps down and gives clues in MK1 and is right there listed in the audits menu of MK1 arcade. Smoke and Jade appear to give clues, appear in the forest and also are right there in the audits menu(along with Noob). One of Jade's clues is "I am one of three" and there turned out to only be 3 hidden characters. Smoke in MK3 is in the credits and appears on the selection screen at times. All the UMK3 hidden characters are in the intro, the credits and appear in endurance matches. Noob in MK4 was discovered before the game had even shipped.

None of the hidden characters in MK games have been well hidden. Everyone likes to fondly remember how mysterious and secretive the MK games they're not really.

let it go, there is no noob, there is no secret, its just something you came up with to have a scence of hope that there is something else to do in the game, but there isnt!, just leave it, MK:DA was a good fighting game and still is, just leave it. dammit...-

Don't you know you don't have the power to do that, I can post here all I want.

Anyway, I am not posting here just because you said not to. I am just posting to inform you that you are indeed wrong. Not about the secret, about the way you think of DA. MKDA is the most orignal and greatest fighter of all time, and if you STILL insist to live back in the past with palette swaps, and 2D then go ahead. I respected you because you tried to find the secret, but had I known that you felt this way, then I would not have. Do not play a game for its secrets. Though I do not possibly see how you find MK2 better than MKDA, go ahead. Just because you can't have your way and Noob be in the game, you whine and say you are going to play MK2. Thats really just dumb, and immature as well.

i say one opinion and every 1 fucking flames me and tells me im wrong i didnt mean to diss out DA i was just pissed off ure absolutly right, it is a kickass game, but i cant stand people sutting you down every time you have to say somethin plz dont get pissed at what i said about DA i honestly didnt mean it, i mean i do look for the secret, but i do that by just playing, and ideas come to me, but i still think noob is in the game and i wont stop playing DA, but im just gonna ask once

Time you say? Like setting the clock on your XBOX forward about 5 years because there was a particular day everything would unlock?Or " Time and Eyes" meaning waste mad time looking at everything you unlocked in the crypt? Nope sorry tried em already. Take it for what it is- a good fighting game.Maybe Noob will be in the next one with some pits,maybe not.The only thing I'm sure of is that I've spent so many damned hours looking for this "FINAL SECRET" that none of my friends stand a chance against me.

I've only just read this thread - and have to say im quite interested in some of the ideas people have put forward, and possible hints they have noticed in the game as to the possibility of noob saibot being in the game...

I know its possible for developers to hide things in code. I know a number of developers who (being smart asses) like to leave little messages within their code, knowing full well that hackers will trace back through that exact spot for one reason or another, and in some cases, the devs like to leave false trails with these messages.

I dunno if this would have been done by the MK:DA dev team. I guess it depends on their skills, and also on the skill of the people hacking MK:DA apart..

I'm certainly open to MK:DA having more secrets then are currently known. That is one thing that has always made me grip the MK games and play them non stop - is the inclusion of these elusive secrets.

Cheers to the people putting forward the ideas! I know not everyone will agree with you.. but its been an interesting read. I haven't played DA in around 3 weeks.. but i'm getting an itch to play it again, and see if i can pick up any of these "hints"

I think they INTENDED to put Noob in the game, but never got the chance to, due to time constrictions. Hence all the stuff pointing in the direction of him actually being in there.

The inclusion of a secret that is so uberly (if that is a word) hidden would well be something other than a hidden character. Aspects of the game would have a more difinitive point towards one character or another being there. Not only something pointing to the inclusion but think about the programming that would have to be involved for another character to be developed. But lets say for argument that there was (another character), if MKDA was so rushed then it would only be some a weak character with no fatalities, and bastardized styles from another character with relatively no game play enhancement.
Many times people have mentioned that this game was rushed, if so then a beggining hacker would be able to read through the files and find an answer. Or lets take on the other stance maybe someone did take the time out to put a super duper hidden secret only the most lonely and lifeless of gamers can find, would it really be all that great if it is that annoying to get to (like going through Conquest 8 times hellll no).
All I am saying is give it up, new secret or not isn't all that great unless it hands out brand new versions of MK6 to the first 50 people who find the secret...........wait my brothers, friends, sisters, boyfriend said to unlock Noob all you have to do is set up a Super Nintendo and punch in MK2...............

that was a fine bit of sanity in an ocean of madness.

if you want to argue in favor of a secret char, then your biggest counter argument would be what they gave you; Blaze and Mokap.

for christ's sake, Frost ony cost like 400+coins.
and is a very original (and kool) fighter.

Blaze and Mokap were obviously rushed, they have that "we were desperate" feel, and as far as character development, there was none.

why wouldn't they give you what you expect early, and hold out the bottom of the barrel stuff for the end.

also a good point was made that i wanted to make myself...

if Saibot were in the game it would be like a tip of the hat to an old associate, an inside wink to a friend.

Boon would make it more visible im sure.

also they don't even try to hide secret chars in MK. they never did.

this is important, and im sick of writing it, so listen:

OLD MKs WERE NOT FINISHED VERSIONS WHEN THEY WERE RELEASED!

that is why secrets were not dicovered till a year or more after release.

when reptile was first accessable in MK1, he came out and introduced himself (LOOK TO LA LUNA, ect)

and all other MK hidden chars show up somewhere too(blaze and mokap have storys in the krypt),

MK hidden characters arn't hidden, they want to be found.

You know what Im not convinced of this statement at all, Im someone who has hacked into games before trying to look for evidence of secrets, (ill admit I never tried MKDA yet) but I have hacked into other games and there is so much programing that I would say its right next to impossible (because I dont believe anything is impossible)to look through every program data, there is simply too much to look through, it would take forever. You could end up winning the lottery a few times before you end up looking through all gaming program. My 2 cents.
