A secret, maybe, dunno........

Backstory :
I had recently starting playing again, since I bought it and beat it in Nov, now using Reptile. Given some of the complexities to Reptile's moves, I started thinking about the game, and secrets.

Theory :
I loaded all the koffins (kost, koin, kontent, etc...) into a DB today. I ran a few discriminating searches to see if anything popped-out as a possible secret. I looked up all the hints, then ordered them by koin.



Results :
There are 25 hint koffins. 4 for every koin, with the exception of gold (possible the value of this secret, if it is one, cheese!).

TK | 94 sapphire - (Hint) RD: Red Dragon

Seemingly each set has so-so correspondance intravertly. i.e. "unleash hell black dragon" may = scorpion.

Gold has 5 koffins :

AN | 52 gold - (Hint) PD: Pay Day!!!
DY | 94 gold - (Hint) SS: Sword Sale
IL | 207 gold - (Hint) DK: Dressed to Kill
RA | 268 gold - (Hint) XG: Ex-God
UE | 210 gold - (Hint) WT: Winged Transport

Using this mindset, this could mean :
(suggested)
Stage : Portal
Char's : Raiden, Knitara
Action : don't really know (why I'm writing this ;-|)

Raiden in his alt costume has a sword-like object, but not in his normal costume. He also used to be a god.

Knitara has , most obvious, wings and dresses pretty openly.

Portal is only known to gods. Maybe Radien can use it. Knitara has wings maybe she could fly to the orb in the middle, not what I think. but could happen,.... I guess.

The reason I think this has any relevance is the "Pay Day!!! being a member of these hints. What do you guys think?

To bad it didn't mean Pleasure Dome and give
us Eddie VanHalen as a character.

You're reading into this way too much man.

PD = 1056 Platinum Koins
SS = Kung Lao's Dragon Sword
DK = Johnny Cage's alternate costume
XG = Unlocks Raiden
WT = Unlocks the Dragonfly Arena

Every one of them makes sense. Truth is, Gold Koffins actually aren't anything special, apart from the fact that they are gold...

Hmmm... I think you guys maybe aren't reading this right. PD is not the koffin and I'm not talking about koffins with gold lights. Thanks for the input, but I don't think you get it.

The letters of the koffins are on the far left. Not PD, rather AN. PD is the label on the hint when the koffin is opened. Gold is the type of koin kost.
An example :KOFFIN KOST KONTENTAN 52 gold (Hint) PD: Pay Day!!!

All the koffins are "HINT" koffins. No unlocks or other koffins. Maybe that will explain it better.

Anyway, the krypt info is there for reference. What I'm saying is that there may be a secret in the portal with a match between Raiden and Nitara.

Maybe some costume combination of the two, and a fatality or special move, or flawless match may unlock a secret on the portal stage.

Sword Sale/Ex-God = Raiden | Normal Costume
Dressed to Kill/Wimged Transport = Nitara | Alt Costume

And I just told you that you're reading too far into it.

Dressed to Kill and Winged Transport does not equal Nitara. Dressed to Kill = Johnny Cage's alternate outfit, and Winged Transport refers to the Dragonfly stage. Same story with your Raiden theory.

It's not a secret.

The hint koffins were there to tell you what might be in the next koffin, so as to not get totally lost or end up getting empty koffins.
Like the development team said - the gold koffins were there to help people in finding the more cooler stuff. Ahh well........you guys probably already know that. Excuse my 2 cents worth : /

i kindof see where this guy is coming from, all of you are being a bit too closed-minded about this. he's saying that all of the hints are four for each color coin, with one exception. gold has five hints to it's color. i could see why this would stand out a bit. he's putting together the hints from the five gold koffins to come up with a possible combination of things to find this "final secret". personally, i don't think there is a final secret, but if there's anyway to go about finding one within such a large game, this man has the right idea. if it makes you feel better keep searching. myself, i just enjoy the game, i'll wait for someone else to find this secret before i try it. i'm having a hard enough time trying to earn the onyx and platinum koins needed to finish the krypt without worrying about a "final secret"

well I do think that it is a online updating system.
because the time limit and Midway needs the money so they will put a online updating system just to update Mk:da game.
Remember Mk:Te game for the Game Boy and It can connect to the Game Cube for info sharing.
so I will not be surpised that you can update all of the console games.
