thats because meat isnt a character at all.its the name of an alternate costume that every character has.

Yeah, there is no storyline or anything for it, there is no "Meat" it's just meat, and bones, of the guy you're using.

It comes from Ed Boon's old official site. Back when MK4 was first out in arcades he would actually update it with pics and info about the various new revisions. Before rev 3 came out he had a pic of Meat and it said "Meat lives!". Thus the name was born.


Meat is actually the result of a glitch, btw. In a test version of revision 3 there was a glitch in team play where the character would lose their skin and use the Meat model. The idea to put him in came from that.
