The stage is in, but the stage fatality is not, which makes it pretty pointless.

They didn't have the animation for the MK 1 and MK 3/UMK 3 characters falling to their deaths unlike the MK 2 characters. Rather than remove the level, they just removed the Fatality. Like I said, it makes the Pit II pretty pointless.

They really should have just alternated the first sweep frames or something, it was silly not to put it in.

Matt
Right, that was my favorite stage fatality of all.

It was dumb not to have it.

see if they did something simple like that, they could have had the body hit the ground and explode into pieces and just have a big ol' blood stain, that way they'd just have to add the blood stain.
Here is a little animation I did to show how it could have been done.

Yeah something like that would have ruled. It would have been so easy, they could have easily made it entirely out of already existing frames.

Matt
yeah, they could have also used frames from all the extra footage they recorded that was never used. I'm sure they have a lot. If they do an MK Trilogy for one of those Midway collection packs, I hope they do that.

Well, we do have to admit. Ed Boon (or the programmers) is/are a bit lazy.....
But yeah, that would have been easy. Also, they could have had the falling animation for the MK2 characters.
