This wouldn't be news to most people here, but I'll mention it for some background information. Just about everyone would know that if you hit your opponent with a combo while they are in the air after jumping (not, NOT after you've hit them with a pop-up attack), whether the full combo hits or not it can do INSANE damage. Certainly, I've noticed, at least twice as much damage as it would do normally had they been standing flat on their feet when you started.
But, how much more damage exactly does it inflict? I've seen it vary.

Well, I couldn't tell ya'. It may be the same 25% extra damage that is inflicted on counter hit. I asked about the damage system waaaaay back at fight night with the dev team; actually, I asked john, but he didn't know. Maybe Konqrr or Ray knows. Peace and love ya'll.

Well speaking of aerial attacks, each character should have their own distinctive looking aerial moves.

Hmmm that's interesting though I don't know what's the percentage...

I haven't really tested this, but hitting someone after they jump does alot of damage.
There is no counter hit damage...that was only 25% more damage if your opponent is in their weapon stance.

Exactly.
It can do extreme damage. I had half my health left in one match, and my opponent hit me with just one combo as Jax while I tried jumping backwards, and that was the end of the match. The last hit alone took out about 1/4 of my health.
I get the feeling that the more hits you manage to inflict on your opponent while they are airborne, the more damage it does. That is, the hits get stronger the more you connect with.
