The site that had the program to rip sounds from the PC version of MKT had shut down, and I had to reformat recently... I was wondering if anyone has the program and if they could send it to me please. my email address is tremor_the_fiend@hotmail.com
I would REALLY appreciate it! Thank you, kind folks.

Try this...

Go to www.goldwave.com and download the latest version of the Goldwave program. Use Goldwave to open up a .SND file from MK Trilogy. Now here's the important part. When it prompts you for the format, select: 16 bit, mono, signed, 11025.

This should open the sound in a crystal-clear format. Each .SND file contains a whole bunch of sound effects, so you can cut and paste the sounds you want to your liking, then Save As a normal .WAV file.

Hope this helps; let me know how it works out!

OK, I downloaded it, but here's the problem:
IT lets me open files that are single sound like "Baraka Wins" but the file that has "Baraka" sound effects, with all of the different sound effects on it, it won't let me open... I'll keep trying to figure it out, but if anyone else can help me further, I'd really appreciate it.

Are you trying to take files straight off the CD? I'm pretty sure this won't work - I think you need to install of the game first, then get the files from the hard drive. I remember I tried getting files straight off the CD once, and it wouldn't work.

At that point you should be able to open files from the MK Trilogy directory... folders named "Sound" and "Sound2" should have been created during install. In the "sound" folder there should be a file called BARAKA.SND

Now if Goldwave, if you select Open from the menu and pick this file, I think it should ask for those settings I listed in the earlier post. Pick the right settings and then the file should sound right; it would be a whole bunch of Baraka sound effects.

That's how I did it... if it doesn't work for you, I don't know what to tell ya! Good luck.

Which version do you have? Cause when I go to open it it doesn't prompt me for anything... I go to File/Open... and it just sends me to list of folders... Then, when I select it from the installed game, it gives me the XP error thing and closes the program on me.
