There was a rally easy way of beating shang tsung that never failed on normal difficulty. If you crouched and kicked as each fire ball passed over he would come toward you and keep running into your kicks until dead. anyone else notice this?

Reptile was more of a challenge but Tsung sucked ass. When you use Cage and hit Tsung on the nuts the game freezes, 1 of the reasons Mk1 kinda blows.

its not a shang flaw, but a gameplay flaw. you can do the same thing on mk2. just hold down..the cpu walks up and tries to hit, but misses cause you are ducking..thel all you gotta go is lp..of course you can uppercut as well.

I could always time his morphs (they occured at the exact same moment each time, from when he stops moving to the morph), at which point you can jump kick him. Depending on who he is you can then play as you would against that character.
