anyone who knows how to do the baby bashing in any of the mk 2 or 3s

I believe it was in Version 1.0 I have Version 1.2 on MAME, and all I can do there with Babalities is the multiple Babalities glitch.

It is version 2.1 of the arcade MKII.

Do a babality... actually do as many babalities as you want, a new baby will appear each time you do one. If you do a special move, it will break you out of your victory pose and then you can do what you want to the baby.

Obviously you will need an arcade ROM to do this. You'd be really really ridiculously lucky to actually find a 2.1 machine. I believe Babalities and Friendships first showed up in this version (along with most of the second fatalities).

Then I think the final version 3.1 added Kung Lao's friendship, Raiden's uppercut exploder and Shang's Kintaro.

But anyway, get a 2.1 ROM, that's what you need!
