it depends on if you want it very hard, or just a little challenge;imo here's the one in order of hardness.....

hardest
1.MKSM unlockable version of mk2
2. Midway Aracde Treasures 2

if you funner gameplay though, i'd say......Midway Arcade Treasures 2.wink

I think the MKSM MK2 unlockable might be the best.
The Sega Gensis one is horrible,i dont know if its just my copy, but the 2-D graphics are horrible, there is missing sound, the music sounds different for the Sega version,Kahn's only taunt is " you will die!". The voice doesnt say "______ wins",so instead it just says the text on the screen, but he'll say Fatality.

out of the earlier home console ports it was best on 32X then Snes then Gen
As for the snes and sweat thing you are confused with the first MK not the second.

graphically speaking playstation and sega saturn are the best, but they have longer loading times.
i suggest sega 32x:very similar rto arcade, but a bit easier.
in it you can also see Johnny Cage special photo in his bio,in fact in all version he wears with his fighting attire but in 32x he wears some kind of shirt with american signs on it.

Your thinking of MK1 for the SNES not MK2, MK2 for the SNES rocked and they actualy bled Anyway, people will say the 32x version because of the graphics, but the SNES version is supperior because of the music.

I actually thought the music was better on the Genesis, despite some of the songs not being straight from the arcade. All the sounds, including the music, sounded like they were being played through a pillow on the SNES, though.

But anyway, if we're talking about ports of MK2, and not the arcade version being emulated, I'd say the 32X. It combined the speed and fluidity of the Genesis version with the brightly-colored sprites and announcements found in the SNES version.

The Sega Saturn and Playstation versions were actually quite horrible. They had the arcade-perfect graphics, but the music was awful and there were far too many load times for everything; you had load times between rounds, load times for the select screen, load times for announcements, load times for finishing moves, load times for Shang Tsung's morphing, etc. Shame on Acclaim for botching them both, they could've been great.

i think you're confused with mk1. mk1 on the snes was censored and the blood was removed. mk2 however wasnt and IS better on the snes then the gen.

i like the mac2 or mksm versions (even tho their basically the same). my fav is still the snes version.

all the mk games that came out on sega sucked....besides mk1. mk2 on the sega gen = sucks. mk2 on the saturn = worst port of mk2 ever.
