I like the idea that he's not really a bad guy. He just wants his race ressurected, and will do anything to do it....and after years of being someone else's lackey, I'm sure going to enjoy seeing him finally TAKE CHARGE!

I can't think of any one character, but if you look at the intertwined stories of Shang, Shao Kahn and Sindel between MK1 and MKT, I think that is the best. The tourny on earth by Shang, then drawing all the warriors to outworld for what seemed to be a battle there, against Kahn himself which turned out to be a trick to leave earth unattended for the rebirth of Sindel which was initiated by Shang long before that, and then Shao Kahn entering the realm to reclaim his wife.

I love it.
