Chameleon
I was always fascinated with this character since I was a wee lad. Many people don't like him, either because he had no story or just didn't like his playability. I don't play with him often because it's not easy to play well with due to his unpredicabilty. But in the right hands, he can be deadly.
If you didn't know he is basicly all the male ninjas (scorpion, reptile. etc) compiled into one. Sort of like Shang Tsung but with no base or starting character, nor choosing who and when you morph. Between rounds he just rapidly flashes different colors, but when he's playing he only takes form of one ninja at a time. He morphs about every 8 seconds unless you are doing a character unique special (freeze, spear, etc. ) in which case you stay the same person. This can sometimes work with you or against you. He is always somewhat clear/transparent. He only appears in the disk versions of MK trilogy. (Sorry N64 owners, your stuck with Khameleon (female))
To fight chameleon, beat the game or 8 player tournament and choose the second treasure. To play as chameleon choose any male ninja and hold HK+HP+RUN+BLOCK+back/away before the round starts and you should poof into him as kahn says: "Fight"

I always wanted to play Chameleon but I only have N64 version of MKT.
The fight video is quite neat. Khameleon is unpredictable as well seeing her how she transform into Kitana, Mileena and Jade rapidly.
I really like this character even though he has no story (yet 
). He's way more fun to play as than Khameleon. Just set Low Damage, No Timer and fight with someone Chameleon vs Chameleon - great fun.
BTW, in order to play as him, all you have to do is to pick one of the 7 "ninjas" and hold HP+LP before the round (any round) starts.

Anyone who goes through all the trouble to make Chameleon spites proves that he is well liked.
Personally i would love to have him in Mortal Kombat Armageddon.
He would look just like Shaolin Monks Reptile, except he's be transparent and would change colors.

The way you have to play as him; changing tactics, constantly adjusting making you adapt to the situation and use quick thinking.
The huge damage potential when you morph between certain character's (Ermac to H. Smoke is just brutally awesome!). Get someone in the corner and they're lifebar is toast! (Though move lock downs are a pain sometimes in large combos, you morph and try to use say a spear, but it just wont come out...)
His storyline; because it's so mysterious; "Your reward is the opportunity to face one of Shao Kahn's deadliest warriors".
His stage; dunno why they chose the Deadpool (I think they use it for the Shokan battle too), but it's a great choice.
Even his soundbyte is cool.
