Every game needs a cheap ass character, so yes.

stryker, along with others, should have never been created.

yes. you may not like him but there always will be chars to hate and i do not hate stryker.

i mearly laugh at him, to me he is comical and funny just like cage,kobra and mokap.

Stryker has always been one of my top three characters.

Why does everybody hate him? Shit. It makes no sense. I love the character.

I will admit, the actor for Stryker could have done a little better with some of the animations, such as the roundhouse. But the actual character is great. It's nice to see somebody other than a ninja or a monk in the game.

Yes. Stryker adds diversity to the MK cast, and that's always welcome.

i'm a huge Stryker fan,and he is a very funny character.
Why a lot of people hate him?
He has a un and is the first characters to use nightsticks.
And however he is a Common person,just a cop, with a gun and a nightstick(how he get the bombs i don't know,but i don't know how Liu Kang throw his fire balls,ecc).

I think Stryker just needed a better look and design than what he had in Mortal Kombat 3. He looked like he didn't belong there.

Stryker reminds me of Ted Danson from Cheers. His moves are funny as hell. His gun sound effect is cheap and his sliding baton move and animation at the end of a fight is hilarious, he's alright for a laugh.

Ted Danson? lol, Stryker always reminded me of the Irish guy from Deep Space 9 and his grunts, groans, screams, and gibberish sound like Krusty the Clown

Stryker is O.K. I guess. I hate Scorpion, which is pretty weird I guess.

Yeah - I think Stryker is the one of the most badass characters in MK. Much more than Scorpion. He's just pathetic now.

Stryker punching mileena out of the blue in the intro definitely bumped him a few places in my list of fave chracter list .

He was planned to be in the first MK,but was scrapped....despite his look,he was a good character in UMK3,he have good combos.

LoL it's funny about the mention of Chief O'Brien from DS9 because Stryker's actor's last name is O'Brien.

If Stryker had the hero voice (Sub-zero, Kung Lao), and not the pansy one (Kabal, Scorpion), it would have made him more believable. If they got a better looking or physically intimidating motion capture actor, he would have been better. This topic has come up before, and I've mentioned this exactly, I think the original intent for the Stryker character based on the MK3 artwork was to look more like Brock Lesnar, a square jawed, huge, buff, blond cop, ready to defend the earth to the best of his ability, and not an average joe Irishman.



What if Stryker's character looked more like this? This is from the strategy guide. I think this is a better representation of a young cop ready to take on Outworld.

To me, Stryker does not represent comic relief at all. He represents us essentially in the war. Normal humans wouldn't fair very well in Mortal Kombat, so Stryker has grenades, a nightstick, a tazer, and a machine gun. To me, his character makes perfect sense.

On top of all this, is devastating in gameplay:

Stryer is an unique character, yeah he surely adds diversity to the game. I mean it would be so boring if all we get is people with super powers to shoot fireballs and strike thunder wherever they want. I like Kobra too, but he really looks similar Ken in StreetFighter.

true, that did earn him a lot of respect in the MK community, but then again if he hadn't done that all the warriors could have cooperated and gone up the pyramid together only to meet their deaths, but Stryker got greedy

Wow...I heard a couple faggots say they liked stryker and hated Scorpion. LOL STRYKER IS PATHETIC, and Scorpion is a BADASS

In terms of character rank in UMK3, according to competitive play, Stryker is just a bit better than Scorpion. Stryker has better combos, more options and funky collision detection.

Stryker > Scorpion.
