i thought the game was awesome it was an change from the regular mortal kombat games.

Ahh... 1997... Mortal Kombat was going to hit arcades once again, but now in 3D, and one of the game's longest running characters, Sub-Zero, was going to get his own game. However, this year seemed to be the near-death experience for the MK empire. MK4, many people thought, was just MK3 put into 3-D, having no change in gameplay, just characters and story. Also, not a lot of people thought it was "true 3-D". Meanwhile, "at home", Mythologies was released... to not so hot reviews. However, back in the day when I had just turned 12, to me, MK could do no wrong... not even Mortal Kombat Annhiliation (yes, I actually liked that movie when I first saw it... in the theaters... oy...) . So I spent a lot of time at the arcades with MK4, beating it a few times as well, but I think I spent more time at home with Sub-Zero. The game was fun for the MK fans as we got to experience a story that took place before the first game, and also filled people in on additional background for MK4. The game was very basic, but addictive in an odd sort of way... and as far as I can remember, this is the only MK game to use live action acting for the FMVs, rather than CG like MK4 or "still screen storytelling" like in the other MK games. I think this game might've worked better as a "side game" like Konquest Mode in one of the MK games, maybe the home version of MK4... but then again, maybe that's just me. Now, hitting 20 in a week, I looking forward to the MK team's third "foray" into the Adventure genre (never played Special Forces... for obvious reasons), hoping that it will be what the last two games wanted to be. Now, to find a used copy of Mythologies

Another thing you could try is to Low Kick near a crushing pillar; it'll set it off, but you shouldn't get hurt if you're far enough, and you can just run underneath it as it goes back up.
