I have to agree with most people and say MKIII is better than MKII but im not saying that MKII is bad at all III was a big step forward and completly and very differnet game with the run button and fast paced combos which II dosent have.

I play the arcade version for nostalgia. It's still fun to just mess around with and brings back good memories. I have always liked MK3/UMK3/MKT more though. Even back in the day MK II was slow and sluggish. Although I do not play MK3 at a high level it is still much more fun than the others and the only MK game I would say honestly has fun gameplay outside nostalgia.

I play MK2 more than any of the other MK games. The only think I think MK3/MK4 does better than MK2 is running. Sometimes I'll reach for the run button while playing MK2. :)

MK 2 is fun, as is every MK to me, but yeah I play it, MK 2 is also the MOST defensive MK game ever made pretty much compared to MK3/UMK3/MKT which are a lot more offensive.

MK2 does have combos, but nothing like MK 3 which is so much faster and offensive in general.

And Deception is broken, but the game can be won and played without absuing infinites, I have always felt that if you're a truly good player in any MK or fighter for that matter, then you won't rely on a glitch to win.

However, there are also those players who feel there is no honor, no fair game, no rules involved therefore they feel they have the right to do anything to win, including cheating.

Thats definitely NOT something to brag about.It kills the fun and makes everything corrupt imo.

mkt and mk2 are the best ones and mk 4 and gold suck

Yea i still play MK2 on mame every now and again and waiting for them to add the game on xbla or MKSM on the BC list so i can play it through there.

I think the run button really hurt mk3/umk3/mkt in the glitch department cause it makes it easier to do infins combos unlike in mk2 but thats not saying you still can't do it in mk2.


If you look hard enough any game can be broken its just a matter of you looking for the glitches and abusing them.And the other guy above is right.Just cause a game might have a glitch in it does not mean its right for you to use it to win.

So thats mainly why I play MK offline so if i lose i know i didn't get cheated out of the win.Plus,playing offline isn't that bad and i enjoy it.
