What makes this army so powerfull. I mean they are dead! And is it their numbers that make them strong? We know they are just mumified corpses.

Also, it is stated that this MK was a tournament hosted by Shang and Quan. In Li Mei's ending it says "the true purpose behind the tournament was finally revealed to her" So are they telling me the whole tournament was to get Li Mei's soul? They could have gotten it without a tournament. I don't get it!!!

Well, I cant go into past history of MK, but many civilizations including the incas and the egyptians wanted to bury their armies just to be able to somehow, one-in-a-million but possible chance that they can be resurected and walk on earth today so that myself, born again vampire, and eric of earth we can be their humble slaves. That hasnt worked yet in my opinion lol. As cool as that idea is, its nothing new in history, lol.

i dont know about that... maybe its just her version of the ending. i wonder why they wanted li mei's soul so badly? maybe it is more powerful than any of us thought... maybe she would be back in the next game and be a big part of the plot!

but thats a good point...

I got the feeling that DK's army were kind of like Skeletor's minions from He-man. You can crunch into a pile of crap but they just form up again and keep attacking you.

The tournament that they mention in Li Mei's ending is separate from the game; kind of like the Lin Kuei tournament that Frost won.

The purpose of the tournament that Li Mei participated in was just to free her people; however, what the Deadly Alliance really had in mind was to take the soul of WHOEVER WON that tournament, and use that powerful warrior's soul for their invincible army soldier's mummified body. Although they COULD have taken Li Mei's soul right from the beginning, they weren't interested in her soul - they wanted the soul of whoever would win.

I get what your saying ]OMBAT, but who cares if the person won a tourny, cause these soldiers are invincible, they don't need someone strong, they already are. Personally I think it is just messy story tellin.

Exacty.

But I don't think that her ending happen. Kung Lao kills Shang Tsung before it can happen.

If the DA are the final two of the kombat, then to me, that means she would have defeated them both aswell and or killed them. This is Mortal Kombat and fatalities do occur. So Li Meis ending never made sense to me to have been killed if she has defeated them both.

Like what was stated before, the tourney was separate from the real story. I can't say for sure, but I likely that she won the tourney and was killed before Lao fought Tsung.

Lei Mei didn't have to defeat the deadly alliance to gain the freedom of her people. The deal was if she won the tournament she would win your people's freedom. They never stated who else fought in the tournament, I don't think Quan and Shang took part.

Well, it would be possible that Tsung went to another room to do something and Kung Lao confronted him there and killed him.

Then why was she in the fing story? Listen, if this toury is seperate from the game and after she beats Quan and Shang in the game we learn she wins a tourny? Is it after, before? Why was she fighting in the game then? And what was so good about her soul?
