Hmmm...Interesting match-up; based on weapon styles (For some).

Reptile Vs Lizard Man: Reptile
Kenshi Vs Mitsurugi/Yoshimitsu: Mitsurugi
Quan chi Vs Cervantes: Cervantes
Rayden Vs Kilik: Kilik (Kali Yuga owns Rayden's staff anyday)
Kung Lao Vs Hwang/Yunsung: Kung Lao (Yunsung is horrible)
Johnny Cage Vs Maxi: Maxi (He may be a bit "different", but Maxi is the better fighter. Although if Li Long were still around, things would be very different.
Frost Vs Taki: Taki
Drahmin/Moloch Vs Astaroth: Moloch
Blaze Vs Inferno: Inferno (He posesses any fighting style he wishes)

All in all, Soul Calibur beats MK anyday.

Mitsurugi beat Kenshi? Cervantes beat Quan Chi? Kilik Beat Raiden!? you tell me what Mitsurugi has that can defeat a tele-push or slam. I don't know, in a straight up brawl, anything goes I think rugi will get his ass waxed.

When I say Quan Chi I mean MK4 and DA. Cervantes has some incredible un-blockables but you gotta hit someone with them to be efective. how do you beat somebody who can dissapear in the floor only to come down on top of you in a split second?

And now to Raiden, you might not except this but Raiden would not only defeat K, but he would destroy him. Both have reach but R's is longer, and power/speed both have that but again R is Faster and can dish out more damage in and shorter time. (I would include all of Raidens specials but...we want to be far, right?)smile

All the other matches I agree with you on. The elvis impersonator, Maxi, probably would out perform and fight Mr. Cage.

Why would Kenshi dodge a bullet? He's got telekinesis, he could stop 'em, deflect 'em, turn them around...what ever he chooses to.

Dont know what soul calibur is but isnt yoshimitsu from tekken and rayden from metal gear 2? Raiden is mk.

Oh...See, I thought your match-ups were straight, no-trick matches. So the MK characters are allowed to use their powers, right?If the match-ups were based on pure weapon skill only, almost every Soul Calibur character will smash almost any MK fighter. EDIT: This is in response to Asmo's reply to my post.

Soul Calibur was the reigning king of fighting games and probably still is. It's a game created by Namco, the masterminds behind Tekken. Instead of hand to hand combat, the characters use weapons. So Namco thought that it would make sense to put Yoshimitsu in Soul Calibur because he always wielded a katana. Another Tekken character defects to the SC universe in Soul Calibur 2: Heihachi Mishima. He uses wristguards of some sort as his weapons, so he'll keep most of his moves from the Tekken series such as his ten strings, etc.

Rayden is how Raiden was spelt in MK Trilogy, I think it caused some confusion between the MK fans. Metal Gear Solid 2's blond heroine..uh..*ahem*...hero is also called Raiden, just like MK's Raiden. He's not called Rayden.

Raiden versus Lei Fei from Virtua Fighter 4? If it's based on skill only, Lei Fei will destroy Raiden with his Traditional Kung Fu. If powers are thrown into the game, Rayden will just zap Lei to death.

I like how you put it. And sorry about the raiden-rayden mix-up. it gets very confusing when everyone flip flops. lol Even you did. Check out your last paragraph.
