I can answer the last question, about MK2. At the end sometimes, you got a seemingly nonsense message, which with rearranged letters would read "Ermac does not exist".

I don't think it's possible to increase the frequency of glitches like this, and have never seen the "Skarlet" one myself. Mileena's alt was a deep, reddish purple.

As far as I know, there is no way to increase the so called Skarlet glitch in MK2. In the arcades around where I lived, people often never called the glitch Skarlet, they called her Rose. Like a red rose. So, another perhaps others had a different name for her.

I am not sure where to find any cool pics of MK1, Ermac, but I know he exists on earlier versions of MK1 before the CPU glitch was finally fixed. I got a chance to actually fight him once, and after loosing, the game crashed, and restarted in the ROM screen where Freeplay, and all that junk is. Ermac was in there too. When I fought him, he was normal speed with Scorpion's moves, and shocking enough, two of Cage's moves the fireball, and Shadow Kick. Anyway, I guess the people at Midway kept track of the Ermacs to see how bad it got, so they ended up fixing the bug on the final versions. You can still turn the color around on your TV if you dare, to play as Ermac, or Reptile. LOL
