I just had a though. Ermac was created from the souls of outworld warriors right, well...do you think King Jerod could have been one of those souls? that coulds easily explain why he, Ermac, was so greatful to Kenshi when he was freed.

The story could go something like this.

Shortly after Kenshi was sent into Outworld to find the lost Cyrax, he ran across two men in heated battle. One, a soldier from the Edenian army, the other, a man fitted with a red uniform similar to those worn by the ninja. Of course with Kenshi being blind he could see who was wearing what but with his heightened senses, coupled, with his telekinesis, he could sense their alinment. The fight was short, in no time the soldier was on the ground begging for mercy from his superior foe. Kenshi stood getting ready to intervene will the red clad man proceded forward seemingly about to finish his opponent. Suddenly the ninja stopped, grabing his headand in agony he screamed out. "Stop I am not a killer...no, I wont...NO!...NOOO!!!!." With this new development Kenshi paused himself and saw in the man something that was not there before. The good in him was rising, fighting for supremecy. He sprung into action, arriving at the soldiers side coaching him to run will he squared off the screaming fighter. Kenshi stood, sensing the yin and yang battling within him, when finally the evil prevaled. Focusing his attention on Kenshi, he says, "I am Ermac, officer in Shao Kahn's Imperial Army. You have interfered in matter that do not concern you and for that you must pay with your life!" The two squared off with one another while the soldier was franticly ran for his life. The ninja attacked first. With inhuman speed, Kenshi was barely able to avoid it, but was able to retaliate. Both kombatants, fought valiatle but while Ermac was trying to kill, Kenshi tried in vein to sub-due his opponent. The moments felt like hours as both fighters dueled, neither gaining an upper hand. The battle intensified when both warriors unmasked there true powers, using there psycic abilities to up the stakes. Ermac seemed more in tune with his powers and Kenshi could sense it immediately. He tried to ward off his attackers tele-attacks but he was not powerful enough. Knocked to the ground, Kenshi watched his attacker approach, but stopp suddenly again like before.

Sorry to cut this short but I have to go. To make a long story short the good in Ermac is King Jerod and he reveils this to Kenshi. He asks Kenshi to end hs suffering by killing him...setting him free from Shao Kahn's control. In return for this he enhances Kenshi's tele-powers.

What do you think? I know those who want to see Ermac return hate it but to each his own.

Remember Ermac taught Kenshi telekenesis... I doubt King Jerod is Ermac, if Kenshi had already sought Ermac out and taught him the technique.

If you read Kenshi's Konquest mode, it says that while in Outworld he met Ermac, sympathized with his plight, and somehow set him free. In return Ermac taught him how to do the Tele-Slam.

King Jerrod was SIndel's original husband, and Kitana's father. He was once the benevolent ruler of Edenia, before he died at the hands of Shao Kahn.

Kenshi was, umm...lets say blessed, with telekinesis when he gained possesion of his ansestrial sword. Ermac only tought him to control it better.

Asmodeus, dude, Jerrod was killed by Shao Kahn 10 000 years ago. Why would Ermac have taken his soul if Shao Kahn already had it? Your theory is not supported by any evidence.

OK, where in any text any where did it ever say that Kahn consumed, withheld, destroyed, or did anything for that matter to King Jerod's soul. For all we know, his soul could be floating around in the netherealm for cheating on his wife sindel. Ermac was formed with the souls of fallen Outworld warriors, they never said when he popped up so we can only asume it was either during MK1 or MK3(Trilogy), both after Jerod was killed. It was around this time, MK3, that Shao Kahn enlisted or enslaved (what ever he did) Ermac.

The way I see it, Ermac is an anomaly(SP), a being that was created due to the distortions in reality created by Kahn when he took over or asimilated another realm.

This is just what I think, not what I read or what someone told me, don't think that I'm saying this fact or anything...it could be or could not be true. I don't know, I just pulled my story out of thin air. But you want proof, do I have proof, well...no. I have no proof, BUT!! can you prove me wrong, that is the real question.

They never said that he got it from his ancestors, they said the sword of his ancestors gave him other worldly powers or something like that. I assume they are talking about telekinesis because if you go though the Konquest with Kenshi, your using the tele-push before they even mention Ermac. Another thing was the fact that he uses Tai Chi. I figured that they gave him (he uses) Tai Chi to help him better focus his power...again before he came into contact with Ermac.

I actually had a thought relating to this...I was thinking that perhaps Reiko was a resurrected form of Jerrod. Here's why:

As most of you probably know Reiko's MK Gold ending shows him entering a portal with Shao Kahn's mask. It has been largely speculated because of this that Reiko may in fact be Shao Kahn. But I was thinking that the mask may have once belonged to Jerrod, and was his crown; but when Kahn conquered Edenia he took it as his own crown. Plus, we HAVE been told that Kahn and Reiko are connected in some way.

But then the question is, considering Reiko is a general in Shinnok's army, why would Jerrod work for Shnnok? There are a couple possibilities. Jerrod may have had some skeletons in his closet, and in fact have been as, if not more evil than Shao Kahn himself...just hiding it, and working for Shinnok as a spy or something. Or maybe since Shinnok took over Edenia HE then had the crown, but didn't wear it cuz the thought it looked stupid, and didn't want people saying "What the- is that Shao Kahn??" So Jerrod, under the pretense of being a soldier to fight for the fallen Elder God, used the position to get close to Shinnok and defeat him, thus reclaiming his crown.

I know it's a long shot, but ya never know...

LOL.

Jerrod was killed by Kahn, it says so in either Sindel's or Kitana's ending, I can't clearly remember (MK3/UMK3). It never says he did something to his soul but he probably did. Kahn can consume souls. So why wouldn't he have consumed his?

That's because he wanted to marry her.

He couldn't marry Jerrod, could he? And a bride without a soul, now wow, that would've been spectacular ;).
