Favorite Mk games out of MK1-MK4

Mkt or Mk4

MKT because:
lots of characters
some cool fatalities
good modes
chameleon, for better or worse

MK4 because:
good story
fave character, Shinnok, is in it
great fatalities
cool new characters
good gameplay
cool levels
practice mode

For me its a tie between MK1 and MKT

I didnt like MK2 as much because of the choppy battles. MK1's battles just seemed more fluent.
MK3-UMK3 were fluent, but they lack the amount of characters available in MKT.
MK4 is a third place because although it is 3-D and all, i think there was alot that needed improvement.

I will never be able to decide between MK1 and MKT.

I have to agree with Mystika. For myself, it is a tie between the original Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat Trilogy. I don't dislike any of the games, but these two just stuck out for me.

MKT for the large finishers inventory and MK4/ Gold as this game is the best 3D MK.

... except for the Shinnok part. Quan Chi is the best, to me.

MK 2 or MKT

MKT has a great (maybe best) roster but theres peopel u can be cheap with really easily with and get 100% combos with.

MK2 i like a lot because IMO its the hardest to beat and u cant really be to cheap.

Well, while the quality of the character roster is just a matter of an individual taste, the gameplay is something which is a unique value, and by that feature I judge all MK games. MK3 is, therefore, the best game in my opinion- it simply had the best gameplay, with all those combos, running, stage platform-breaking, animalities... MK2 may be more "original", in the sense of having oriental-style arenas and more fantasmagoric combatants but I still can't say I enjoy PLAYING it. I particularly mean playing the arcade mode, where the computer can be very cheap (e.g. Johnny Cage keeps defeating me only with his moronic throws, Liu Kang with his fireballs...). In MK3, the computer has more advantages against you (running and combos) but at least he is fighting in an exciting and fair manner.
