When something better than UMK3 comes out, I'll let you all know, because it still hasn't happened yet.

MK1 on Genesis was the first time I ever played MK. It almost completely turned me off from it because I thought it was the shittiest, choppiest, most worthless fighting game ever made. Then I played it in the arcade, thought it seemed cool, but impossible and I wasn't going to waste quarters on it.

Then I rented it for SNES and really enjoyed it for some reason. After that I couldn't wait for MKII, had a blast with it, couldn't wait for MK3, had a blast with that, then couldn't wait for UMK3, and everything felt complete. Then MK4 I thought was going to be awesome, I couldn't have been more wrong.

i played all the previous Mk's, and the first one i fell in love with was UMK3. But the one that pushed me over to become a fan was MK4. and Triology on PS1.

I played MK1 at my babysitter's house on the SNES when i was around 4-5. I didn't get to play that often because there was a bunch of older kids there and they would always play, but I would get my chance to play and when I did, I was always either Sub-Zero or Scorpion. It might have just been the ninja suits, but I loved playing as them. Of course, being 4 I was never able to learn any of the moves for them. I skipped MK2 (which I need to actually play that, from what I've heard it's awesome) and I got MK3 for the Genesis. MK3 was the first one I actually owned and I loved that game. Most games you throw away after playing it for 2 or 3 months, but if I could find that stupid cable for my Genesis I would hook that puppy up and play MK3 nonstop for days. By this time one of my friend's really got into MK as well, and he bought MKT. I would play it at his house when I went over there, then he also got MK Mythologies, which we both decided from the beginning that we hated... we couldn't get past the first level (age here was somewhere around 9, maybe 10). From then on, I lost contact with the MK world. Then, 4 or 5 years later, I get one of the DDR games and one of the songs reminded me of the MK theme song from the movies. It got me interested so I searched that song up on Windows Media Player and listened to it. Then my brother invited a friend over that happened to be obsessed with MK, and he got us talkin about it. Before I knew it, I had convinced my mom to buy us both of the MK movies on DVD, I'm suddenly searching the internet for anything related to MK (hence I landed here ^-^), and I trade in 6 Gamecube games and pay 10 more dollars to buy MKD. I got that game about a week ago, and I have beaten Konquest, I have all of Shujinko's moves, more than half the Krypt has been purchased (I could have a lot more, but I'm too lazy to sit there and buy them all), and I'm well on my way to unlocking everything else.
