How many of you currently have bought the GC version? Are you happy with the controller?
I use the standard controller and it worked for me
after 2 hours of play. It isn ́t that hard to execute the moves, just think different and it works. (i mean that you must think different in which way you place your thumbs)
Just let me know your pain or happiness with the Gamecube version.
Stay cool and dont burn me-

well initially when doing d,f/b,f etc moves i would jump accidentally. and i don't have fat fingers either. but im getting more precise. the problem im finding the doing branch combos, switching stances during the combo, the deep set L button isnt fast enough, but i imagine this would be much easier on the ps2.
The control is the only thing I don't like about the game - I also suffer from the 'jumping' syndrome, very annoying. Took me ages to do one of Cage's conquest missions because of it (the branch combo finishing with a shadow kick).

I got used to it quick, in fact, when I stop playing MKDA for Super Smash Bros Melee, I often find myself to feel the joystick weird...

I've had no problems at all playing this game with the GameCube controller and I have huge hands.
I have the Gamecube version too, and i have had almost no problems at all. At first i too suffered from the "jump" syndrom but i am totally used to it now but i still wish midway made the L & R buttons activate as soon as they felt pressure instead of when they are depressed fully. Other than these very minor gripes the Gamecube controller works perfectly with MKDA!

Well, I like the controller, and have never really had any problems with it on any game. I think my largest complaint would be using the Z button in MKDA, but really, it's not that difficult.

I have nothing bad to say about the gamecube's version. Within five minutes i was used to it, like i was playing for five years. I played it also on the xbox and ps2 but i must say that doesn't work for me, after playing for half an hour i was hoping i could get home fast enough and play the GC version again.
Nintendo may have a kiddie machine according to some people but the controller rules!

Thank you for your replies. Good to hear that i ́m not the only one with the GC version.
Have anyone tried the PS2 adaptor?
I have heard that MKDA did not support that thing!!
God bless you all and may the great spirit is with you-

But the cube-version is very good

I thought that the 3rd Party controllers didn't work for the GameCube version. Well, at least they didn't for mine.
My name is BAJAR MC, and I am a "jumper".
I can no longer slide my fingers over the controller in the fashion I once did, I must now have my thumb placed precariously over the edge of one of the moves to perform a move.
How I wish they'd use the stick, the edge of my thumb has marks on it from where I have hit the edge of the button...

The Gamecube controls work very well with MK: DA, but my major problem(and only) with the Gamecube controls and this game is blending three stances together in one combo. You simply have to press the "L" button way to hard to get a response and it's hard to do that twice while pressing other buttons in between.
