While we're on the topic, how DO you get the version message? Just for kicks...

welcome to the boards.
but um, no no one has found the final secret yet, and the version code is its own secret, the final secret was sopppusedly said by ed boon that the final secret is NOT the version code, as i have looked in the archieves of this site many times and check all this info up, so far no one has founded it yet, though its probaly very near since everyone has found little clues and hints on the final secret in the game

Sorry man, but it's not happening.
Finding that "final secret" would be like finding a yellow needle in an alternate reality made of hay.
Also, when you say "everyone has found little clues and hints on the final secret in the game" what are these? and how do we know they're hints toward the final secret, if we don't have the slightest idea of what the final secret is?
(personaly i don't think it's the verson code, because logic would say that a "verson code" that Ed Boon himself didn't know know how to access, wasn't intended to be found anyway.)
Bottom line is candman, it's highly likley it will never be found, and people will just forget about it more as the months move closer to the release of mk6.
Oh yeah, and welcome to the boards.

And all of these little hints (that may or may not be related) were found a long time ago. Nothing new has been found in like 8+ months.
I find it hard to believe there is anything left for us to find. If there was, why wouldn't even a hint be released by now. The only hint was "try buttun combos all over the place" or something like that.
Could you imagine someone finding the DULLARD code on their own? Not only would you have to guess a 7-button code, but you'd have to guess what screen to use it on. Impossible.
You'd think out of all the people who worked on this game and know the secret (if there is one), that one of them would no longer be employed by Midway, and thus have no consequence of releasing the details of the secret.

Its going to be a stupid message that says "congrats, you wasted a year for nothing" and someone will still brag about it!
