What ever happened to Fujin, Raiden's brother?
In Mk 4, Raiden became elder god and left Fujin in charge of protecting earthrealm. So, why did Raiden relinquish his status as elder god when Fujin should have been there to fight? Did the Deadly Alliance kill him? Any thoughts about what happened to Fujin?

My guess, after Raiden stopped being and Elder God and became protector of Earth again, Fujin stepped aside and returned to being the regular god of wind.
Where is he now? He's currently being held in the prison in MK:Deception along with Jarek, Jade, Drahmin and probably others. How and why they got there, we don't know yet.

What about Kabal? Was he a member of the Black Dragon or the Red dragon?

Fujin's Raiden's brother? That's news to me...

Anyway, I'm assuming that Fujin somehow got trapped in the Netherprison after Shinnok's defeat in MK4, since he shows up there in Deception.

However, he'd still keep his Protector or Earth status, since Raiden, after relinquishing his role as Elder God, only took back up the mantle of Thunder God, not Earth's Protector.

Im kinda lost about the nether prison. Is it basically a prison in the netherealm? I heard about some of the characters who went there, thats why they make an apperance in deception.

Could the Netherprison and the Prison of Souls (in MKM:SZ) be the same thing?

There's also a Prison stage in MK4 (it's the one with the giant fan fatality) and, since part of that game took place in the netherealm, I'd say it's the same thing as the Prison of Souls in Mythologies.

Since both MK4 and MK:DA had areas and plotlines that dealt with the Netherealm, it's safe to say that most (if not all) of the klassic kharacters that'll be in the Netherprison stage in MK:Deception have some good reason for being there (either getting trapped there during MK4/MK:DA, or possibly getting captured by the DK and locked up there for some unknown purpose?).

Do you remember the site where you found the screenshot? If so, please post it here. Thanks.

In the movies, he was. In the games, technically, Raiden has no relatives. Fujin was just a fellow god, nothing more.

You maybe right with the exception of Tanya and Kabal, those 2 are confirmed to be in Mortal Kombat Deception. I think you may be right on Rain, Kai, Stryker and Reiko though.

It isn't a mishap. I agree with the stepping aside idea.

ok what happened in fujin's ending in mk4 only happened if fujin won the mortal kombat tournament. every time u beat the game with a certain character, it shows u what would have happend to him if he/she had won the tournament. so if fujin never won the mk4 tournament according to mkda, then that never happened and fujin is still just the god of wind. get it?

Protector.

Since when was there ever going to be a stage called the netherprison in MK:D? The official name for the stage that imprisons Fujin, styker, etc. is the Dark prison. So far, and I could be wrong (correct me if I am), there has been know info pointing to Shinnok or the netherrealm being an influence in Deception's story. Noob's pressence means nothing.

That's the name I was given for the prison stage in Deception. And, just because Shinnok isn't an influence doesn't mean that the Netherealm isn't, either. Much of both MK4 and Deadly Alliance takes place in or around the Netherealm, and since Deception starts up just before DA ends, it's safe to say that it has some influence in the game, as well. Perhaps the Dragon King is using the Prison of Souls (or Dark Prison, or Netherprison, or whatever the hell it's called, now) to keep those he has captured tucked away, so that they won't get in the way of his plans. Being mortal (mostly), the characters in the prison wouldn't have the strength to break out, if the prison is, indeed, in the Netherealm (remember, although Shinnok's former general, Quan Chi is still mortal, and his powers were useless in the Netherealm).
