so whos Dan Forde? and why does he shout frosty?

Dan Forden is a sound programmer and music composer who specializes in making music for video games. If I understand correctly, when he and the Midway team would play the games before they were released, they'd periodically shout out random taunts with funny voices; for whatever reason, Dan's "Toasty" was chosen as a long-running gag for when a player landed an uppercut. It stuck for a long time too.
I'm not 100% sure about this, as I only heard the story years ago, and my memory's really fuzzy right now, so I'll leave this open so that someone else can clarify/confirm what I wrote.

Yep I remember seeing that on Midway Arcade Treasures 2 where they had some kind of video talking about MK3 and they indeed mentioned. How it was Your Toast to Toasted to Toasty! And if you really wanna get old school here's a name to look for fergus mcgovern!!! Or aka FERGALITY!!
