yea and you're right. mk1 was the official tournament. the rest of the mk's were some sort of plot or invasion. never was a real tournament. if they had another official tournament and still stayed intact to the storyline then most of the characters we know of now probably wouldnt be in that tournament, they'd either be old or dead. (every generation a mk tournament took place because of shao kahn wanting earth.)
