There are a lot of devices to capture video to your computer. Finding a good one that isn't overpriced is tough though.

If you search around for "video capture" you will probably see a lot of things. There are simple USB ones where the video plugs into USB and the computer figures out what to do with it. There are also more expensive ones where you end up with a card or box that digitizes the video on the fly and provides that as a stream to the computer.

I used to have the Iomega Buz which had onboard motion jpeg encoding, but sadly it only worked with my old computer (it was very inexpensive and the video quality was great but there was no customer support and it could be quite difficult to get working).

Hopefully some of the other folks on the board that have captured will chime in with some make and models.
