It's used, of course. I'm really excited! What can I expect from it? I'm actually trying to collect all versions of Mortal Kombat ever, but I still love to play them.

It's pretty good, even though the graphics could have been better. It plays a lot like the arcade if you have a six-button controller. That version of the game brings back many memories.

i used to have that version (i let someone borrow it and he kept it sad). its ok if u cant play the arcade or saturn versions. this is probably one of the best versions of mk for the genesis (mk1 being the other good version, mk3 was ok but i could care less about mk2). i used to know the menu code for it but its been a long time. u should really invest in a six button controller because it sucks, especially combos, playing with the three button controller. i still own my six button. ah the memories.....

The graphics, sound effects, and musics are horrendous, but the gameplay is pretty heinous for SNES so its a tough call. It was closer to the arcade then SNES and could be pretty entertaining to play.

If you put the snes graphics on the sega verison then its great,it has more stages then snes but yeah like the one guy said the sound is awful not even close to what the arcade is and i should know since i have the arcade version and the genesis one.

I do have a six button controller! Yes! This game is going to be awsome! I already have MK 1 and MK 3 on Genesis. So, what are the secrets in this game?

There isn't too many secrets, other than the kodes on the main menu. Also, Human Smoke isn't in this version, I think. I don't ever remember using him in it.

human smoke is on there. sheeva isnt. and in the menu kode u can enable motaro and shao kahn, only for 2player tho. and sega never was too good on the sound department (just look at sf2 champion edition lol). graphics aint too good but like everyone said it had better gameplay than super nintendo. i wasnt suppose to have that version but i ended up with it and i thought it was tolerable.

Actually I did play it a little. I was at Myrtle Beach at a hotel, and there was an arcade on the bottom floor. I play Ultimate MK 3 a lot there. I'll have arcade perfect MK 3 when MAT 2 comes out. It's going to be hard to collect all the versions of MK, but it will be done! And that's awsome that Rain, Noob Saibot, and Ermac are in this game!!! :)

Yup. The computer is cheap, but I've gotten used to their cheapness. If you need any help when you get it, ask me.

Haha. I still have mine, but I also have MKT, so I don't play UMK3 for Genesis that often, only to do Kabal's Hara Kiri. You know the glitch. Anyway, yeah, if you compare Genesis to SNES, it's gonna be worse in almost every way, but Gameplay is freakin smooth!

Hara Kiri is an honorable Japanese suicide, I don't feel like getting into the history of it, but there was a glitch in Genesis version of UMK3, where during the 'Finish Him' mode, you do a move as Kabal and his head just... Falls off... I call it Hara Kiri cause it's like he performs suicide, but all it is is a glitch. EDIT: Here, save this to your PC for later reference: Kabal's Suicide Choose Kabal. At the end of the round when you hear Finish Him/Her go close to you opponent and make the key combination for Kabal's MK3 Animality (Hold HP, F, F, D, F, then release HP). Kabal's head will fall. To receive better results run a two player game and choose Kabal and someone else. Make the Extended Fatality Time kode - 955-955. At the end of the round make Kabal's Animality key combination. Kabal's head will fall again as usual but there is more time. If you press any action button except BL and Run Kano will appear and will hit your opponent. If your enemy is Shang Tsung, Kano will morph into Shang Tsung after hitting the opponent. If you press Block, Kano will appear without hitting your opponent. Press block one more time and Kano will take his normal fighting pose. Now you can control him, but you can't make any Finishing Moves. If your opponent is Shang Tsung by pressing Block for the second time Kano will morph into him. If you press up Kano will disappear. Run do nothing. Though anything after the Kano stuff is not confirmed by me, but I'll keep it in mind myself.

I just got my UMK 3 game in my mailbox today, and I love it!!! I had to blow it a couple of times to get it to work, but other than that it's awesome!!! It's better than MK 3 in every possible way!!! The graphics are very crisp, especially for a Genesis game. The only downside is that it does not say the character's names, unlike MK 3 did. Either way, I love this game, and I'm about to go play it some more!!! smile

Very cool. Yeah, I don't like how it doesn't say the names either, but it's not too bad. Hope you have lots of fun with it.
