The gameboy version is a great game, in my opinion. I don't know why people flame it so much.

Well I've never played the GB version of MK1. What's it like?

It's a little slow but still fun. Johnny Cage isn't in and there isn't any blood. But it is still a good game.

I was obsessed with it when I first got it, the speed was annoying, but when you got used to it, it was great fun. And all the fatalities were good too, even without the blood :)

I'd say the game was so-so. Kinda didn't like the slow speed tho. Really liked the Goro code tho! That was awesome.

A LITTLE SLOW?! That game is sooooo slow. I cant do any body's move on that game, because its too slow. I can't even do Scorpions Fatality, and all you gotta do is press up,up >:O

Actually Alpha_Q_Up, Scorpion's fatality is Fwd, Fwd, Fwd, Block on the Game Boy version.

I loved MK1 on game boy. Screw the slowness, over time you learn how to time your moves correctly (I believe it's press the next button right after your character moves). I could catch opponents in Sub-Zero's freeze, uppercut, and repeat before they fully got up.

It was so kool for the time, played like shit but was the first game where you could use Goro. The next time was not until trilogy and then 4.

The SNES version didn't have a blood cheat. Only the Genesis version had one.
