ok, I just got a great deal on the playstation version of Mortal Kombat Trilogy from Gamestop. They gave it to me for 8 dollars used but the CD is just like new and everythings included.
Now for my question, is it better then the N64 version? I have both now and I want to know some of the differences please. And what do you think of it?

I have MKT for the PS, and although I've never played the N64 version I know some of the characters in the PS version have less moves than their N64 counterparts. Classic Sub Zero for instance, has no clone, or ice shower near/far for the PS version. N64's Shao Kahn and Motaro have fatalities, PS does not. If I think of any other differences I'll post 'em.

Shorthand response, N64 has no load times. But, N64 has crappier graphics and sounds and fewer characters. Also, the gameplay in the N64 version is extremely broken.
PSX MKt has the load times (Which can be minimized by turning off the characters on the select screen, the 2 player versus screen, etc). PSX for MKT has better graphics, and gameplay that is far closer to UMK3 for the arcade then N64 is. This means that the gameplay is tighter, the rules are more strict working out to a more balanced game overall. Basically, any chars from UMK3 are virtually unchanged in MKT for PSX except for added moves or where they tried to tighten the game even more. For N64, the gameplay even for chars from UMK3 is sloppy and looser.
But, why did I type all that again? This has been discussed a bunch of times on here already. Try looking through the old posts to hear what everyone has said on the topic before and maybe just let this thread get deleted or something.

Well, I just played it, and I think its good, but isnt there a way to take off the awful loading or at least minimize it?

The thing is, you said you have both, you can compare them yourself and see the differences yourself, hell if you like the N64 better, then it's your decision.

Well, ive come to a decision myself. The n64 version destroys it imo. The characters are the only thing that make PSX version worth owning. Some of the stages in the PSX version look like complete garbage such as the wastlehand, or the first MK stage with the clappers.
Oh well, im glad I have both

The PC version has all the benefits of PSX MKT, but without the load time. Plus there are trainer programs out there that can mess with the game, leading to all sorts of hacky chicanery. So if you have two good keyboard-emulating controllers (or just don't mind using the keyboard), I'd highly recommend you go for that.
